Hi all

I am picking up a 9100f for a build I'm throwing together, what board would work straight out of the box? Not had Intel for years

Any help appreciated

Thank you

Officially, I think only B365 or Z390 are guaranteed to have a compatible BIOS, but realistically, I'd be surprised if there are any B360/Z370 boards on the market that don't have the newer bios.

Lovely job thank you, I'll see if I can get a second hand z390/370

i have a very basic h310 with low profile cooler for a little help to vrm cooling and it does great with my everyday use pc for my family. Paired with a gtx 780. It does well for lite gaming.

Since it's a budget CPU, I would recommend you z370 or B370 if you have low budget. Both can handle this CPU well
it's a budget cpu you wont need a z370. you can't overclock the cpu and that's the main reason for the z series from intel. Stick with h310 or maybe a b360/b365 if you want better vrm to upgrade to a non k 8/9th gen intel cpu later down the line.
