Jesus Christ many of these guys look they are actually malnutritioned with physical development issues and suffer from severe alcoholism.

They look no different to the junkies I used to see as a kid by nearby council estates. How the **** to you expect to send these dudes too war :)
 
So have seen another video of the rusted Aks. It's not surface rsut, it's right though some key parts of the chamber area etc, even on the magazines. They have been handed out and told to make them working. Theirs no way to get a plate rusted through gun working safely. Even an Ak, they shoot those off they are more likely to blow one of their hands off.
 
It is a bit shocking to see the state of some of the conscripts, but I suppose it highlights how poor the quality of life is in many parts of Russia, and how unhealthy and deprived so much of the population is.... The central bits of Moscow you normally see on TV are like a different country to much of the rest of Russia.

Watched this program a little while ago which was interesting - on the one hand showed some lovely bits of humanity, but on the other hand gave a bit of a sense how deprived many people's lives are there.

Just thinking if the mobilization is just another part of the plan, get 300,000 (soldiers) killed then tell the country we have no alternative to go full retard as we have no more viable defence and risk part invasion. Then tatical nuke parts of Ukraine . No sane country would ever send ill preparded troops like these into a any situation (large scale conflict) especially after the lessons of two World Wars etc

Too what ends you may think, well for one hes lost the war and this would be his saving grace and to show the world that no matter what Russia is still a superpower.

He is going to end an era of perceived Russian domance on the world stage and bar his nukes he has nothing to scare is neighbours or anyone.

Most probably the latter all bull, but what does he do to retain his power and keep Russia as a viable superpower bar nukes.

As for me I have a Franke instant hot water tap and can drink tea hot so really im sorted. :) Like others keep saying we little people have no controll over world events, so it is what it is.

Most of those guns will never even work enough to fire a round - from information in the comments though they are a local reservist type stock used for training.

EDIT: Great comment on the Reddit thread for the video: "When the quartermaster has an archaeology degree…."

Isn't one of the major plus points of AKs that they're cheap to make very quickly by using stamped metal receivers. What in the heck have Russia been doing? (Rhetorical question - the answer is massive corruption.)

Apart from weapon handling and manual of arms how do you train on something that will blow up in your face if you put a round through it?

You always read Putin basically has the country in full control, his generals and lackies are terrified of him etc

So how the hell did they blow billions on corruption given his reputation under his watch.

I guess two options, he is part of the corruption and is in on it ( I must have been fooled into believing he was beyond that) or he doesn’t have that kind of control of the country as we imagined.

Us little people are the opposing force - direct or indirect. We’ll be happy to defend your freedom of speech, your hot tea tapamathingiemajig which you can afford and drink without living in fear. I want to say grow a pair which i suspect is still acceptable across all woke definitions.
Sometimes you have to stand. Everyone in the UK by taxation is helping..
 
The only thing that this part mobilisation achieves is a postponement of the moment and an increase in the body count before Russia has to swallow the fact that their vainglorious campaign has been reduced to a bloody shambles, and that despite all their chest-beating jingoism, they’re not as bad-ass as they’ve made themselves out to be all these years, and that they’ve failed, miserably.

I’m kind of hoping that Putin goes out of this world screaming in agony and terror from the end that he meets, but it feels like that’s not the world we live in. I bet he’ll probably be allowed to live out his days in a peaceful, luxurious gilded cage in exile somewhere, like Idi Amin, because there’s no true justice anymore
