the 3070ti FE is available to buy on nvidia store - that's the GPU i'd go for, in your build.

3070fe was ut of stock when I looked, but yes, back in stock and went into my basket just now, so try again
The 3070 ti FE is still showing in stock. But when you try to add to basket it doesn't let you.
the 3070 (non-ti) is in stock and can be added to basket
edit: and so is the 3080!

£100 difference with the 3070ti fe and 3080 fe, worth it you think?
Is the difference in performance worth it between the 3070 and 3070ti?

imho:
3070 -> 3070ti: not worth the difference (1.2x the cost for 1.1x the performance)
3070ti -> 3080: worth the difference (1.2x the cost for 1.2x the performance)
3070 -> 3080: worth the difference, but now into the realms of diminishing returns but still definitely worth it (1.4x the cost for 1.3x the performance)

yes. the only reason why i suggested to buy the 3070ti FE is that the 3070FE and 3080FE weren't available yesterday and the 3070ti FE is the same price of the AIB 3070
now that there are 3070FE and 3080FE available, these are the obvious choices
which one you want to get is up to you

I think your mother board is a total overkill for this system,unless you're planning to upgrade the GPU soon-ish.
for a RTx3060,playing 1440p i5 12400 + B660 makes more sense.
After all the helpful advice I've opted for a Gigabyte B660M GAMING X AX DDR4 Intel Motherboard with an i5 12500 and a 3070 with 32GB DDR4 RAM. I've shaved about 450 off the price I originally posted by changing some components and buying from elsewhere.

Ok, so PC build still hasn't happened due to delays in funds. So I've now fully settled on my parts list and feel it is a good spec. I will definitely have the funds next week.
