Energy Prices (Strictly NO referrals!)

Based on my calcs the cap has reduced my British Gas fixed rates by...

Elec 1.25p/unit
Gas 0.25p/unit

Was spending on average £1/d on gas and £2/d on electricity... One person household... Wonder how much it will be from now hmm

Hopefully you won't be able to claim the vouchers. Consider it a learning experience for doing things unofficially.
 
I just ordered a cover for our heated 3 tier clothes airer. really wish I had got one as a package with the cover included . I love the airer but apparently the cover makes it massively more efficient (and it's already pretty good).

£48 delivered for the cover is pretty OTT however. possibly won't pay for itself but I really want to cut my energy use.

Still doesn't excuse give them consistent increases to buy their votes whilst the rest of society suffers. And in the UK we have had numerous tax advantageous schemes for retirement and savings which other countries only dream of for the past 30-40 years.

I got a pulley maid and fitted it in the kitchen about 10 years ago, think it was around £110 at the time and it's been fantastic. No running cost, takes an entire load of washing at a time with space to spare.
 
My electric for September went up to about 8p per kwh... 300% increase :p
FML that's only gonna get worse I'm sure.
 
Apparently some people are having billing issues since the change over - my colleague was showing me on his account it was showing £7500 use in the last 24 hours for yesterday and an estimate of 35K for the month LOL.

EDIT: Googling it shows a few SSE/OVO customers having the issue but apparently it is a display issue.

Just seen that OVO are offering me a fix option below the current unit and standing charge rates, colour me confused!

I'm guessing British Gas are having billing issues too. I usually receive my bill on the 1st of the month and haven't received anything at all for gas or electric yet and my accounts are both showing as £0 balance (I pay whole-amount monthly DD).

Ocotpus having same issue.
On website it says the unit rates are 50 for electric 20 for gas, but on the IHD its the expected 36/9

yes that's seems good , new customers too
now that government subsidy is assured, I'm hoping market will open up so you can easily move to other suppliers, a land grab as they try and establish economies of scale.

Being with BULB I'd like to move , probably to octopus with their new smart meter add-on.
There doesn't seem to be any need to formally sell off bulb now, if government undewrites SVR at any supplier.

There was a banner on ny account saying the prices arent showing correctly on the we sitr or app but the correct prices are in place so dont worry.

I can confirm when i checked my own account internally the prices were right its just they arent pulling through to the app etc atm due to a technical issue

Why is octopus gas (linked to having octopus go) 14.88p /kWh? I thought the cap was only irrelevant for octopus go electric

So would the DD amount showing on my account also be incorrect?
 
Anyone know when we get the 66 pounds?
I assumed mine would come the same time my DD is taken

My supplier are crediting my bank account with it and taking the normal DD.
