I’m assuming the 6800/6900 blocks of the cards is not compatible.

I.e

Phanteks Glacier G6000 Asus Strix 6800/6900 DRGB GPU Full Water Block. (Overclockers)

Will now fit the ASU’s Strix/Tuf OC 6950x variant.

If this is the case of not fitting, then I can’t seem to find any blocks that for the Asus Tuf OC card. (Not bought card yet)

I have been out the loop for a few years now.

If

I would be very surprised if the circuit board was changed from the 6900xt to the 6950xt. I have a 6800 waterblock and that was the same one as for the 6800xt.

Of course I cannot be certain so you should send an email to Asus and hope to get clarification.

Just so you are aware, I have that exact waterblock on my card and I like it but the connector is the phanteks propriety one and I have not been able to find a way to get the lights to work. I cannot be bothered to put in a phanteks box just to get it working so not lit up in my pc.

It doesn’t have to be the phanteks block as all I see if 6800/6900 blocks. And nothing on here about 6950 blocks.. may have to jump to 3090 ti ref if I can’t find a block. But the 3090 ti is not £320 better performance over tbe Asus Tuf OC.

I do not know where you are planning to get the 6950xt TUF from but the 6900xt TUF is £800 on OCUK. The 6950 is just an overclocked chip and no real difference so why not just save some money and power and get the 6900xt instead ?

If you got a 6900xt then you would know the block will fit.

£80 more for 6950xt

I have been up all night with no sleep so brain is not working so well at moment. Another question that needs to be asked , why buy 69X0xt now ? New gen cards are due within a month.

New gen 7000 series if like there new cpus may be even more pricey than the 4000 series nvidia or on par with Nvidia £1700 for a top end card. Even if AMD cut nvidia to say £1400/£1500 for there top end card that’s still £500/£600 more than now and is it going to be 60/70% better in performance ?, history would say Not a chance.

I’m even hoping that the 6950 XT will drop even further maybe when the nvidia series actually drop in mid October and even more when the 7000 AMD series announced in November. I’ve been waiting 2 years so can wait a bit longer to see if they drop like a stone..
