Attack of the acorns

Is the option of something padded underneath the car cover no good?
Even just a fleece blanket/throw, or microfibre towel or something with the cover over it would surely be enough to damp the impact of an acorn.

Because I have an allocated parking space which is below the trees along with half the other spaces. The trees are also not mine to have cut (most likely council owned)
It's simple.. Contact land owner, inform them their property is damaging yours. they will need to deal with it. If however they choose not to.. send them bills for dent men.

Car roof storage box.

Leave it open, collect them, pot them, sell them as oak saplings, profit.

I parked a borrowed Toyota IQ under the oak trees at my house for 3 months, and acorns made the roof look like the surface of the moon.
My 7 series is under it all year, and has had no dents.

Interesting. Seems the 1 series body panels are not quite as tough as 7 series by the sounds of it!
