Will 4090 fit in h710i case?

Founders edition of the 4090, according to website specs, is
Length 304 mm
Width 137 mm
Slots 3-Slot (61mm)

The founders should have no real issues, imo, but it might be worth measuring the depth of the case especially if you're not after a founders, some of them seem to be 'wider' than normal and the cables (the adapters are not that flexible) could end up being an issue. Why they've stuck the power connector(s) where they have and in the orientation they have I have no idea...

Thanks dude I will do. I'm torn right now on what to do with upgrading. Running a 10900k currently with a 3090. So I'm not sure whether to go 4090 or actually do a CPU/mobo/ram/storage upgrade currently. It's just a lot of money for a theoretically less percentage gain.

Personally I wouldn't bother upgrading from a 3090 to a 4090.... I don't know what your setup is and/or display etc but I'd actually argue you likely don't need to change anything right now apart from maybe more ram and/or storage.

While we all like to have the newest items it's not always worth the cost for the performance increase etc. Is your current system actually feeling slow, can it do everything you want... if both are yes then wait another generation before changing stuff would be my suggestion.

Either way you want to wait until rdna3 is released early November... AMD might bring out a better card and/or force nvidia to lower prices (we can hope lol)

With having 2 young kids then my time gaming is definitely more limited. Really just playing warzone and warzone 2 as it releases. Did a lot of sin racing with a valve index on iracing previously but my racing rig ain't getting much use. It still carried enough frames.

Got a 240hz 1440p a2721d and got an Acer predator 4k 144hz as my 2nd monitor currently. I think you're right in the sense that it definitely still does everything I need it to.
It's just good getting people that know more than me to point it out!

Well the perspective is welcomed. Always terrified of posting stuff on forums in case you look an absolute kipper. So cheers for the advice and counter argument!

Don't be, at least on this forum. The worst that will happen is you'll get a few 'comedy comments' but nothing meant to offend or anything, think of it like the online version of light hearted banter rather than toxic trolls in game chat.

Besides we all have days where we end up forgetting stuff and normally it's the 'easier' stuff we end up forgetting lol

If you have front mounted fans, or a front mounted AIO, make sure to include the width of those devices as well.

The 4090 FE should be OK but other cards may be a problem.

My setup is 5900X + 3090 driving a G9 Neo 5120x1440 @ 120Hz. For most games the GPU is unstressed and the CPU is working the hardest. Occasionally, usually in a console to PC port game, I'll turn down the graphics settings from ultra to high for better performance (I'm old and even if my brain could tell the difference between the setting my damn eyes can't), and that's usually to help the CPU and not the GPU. AT the time of building I had a choice between the AMD 5xxx series and the new Intel 11th gen which had only just come out. I had already waited ages to build this PC so I didn't want to wait for the 12th gen but I understand it is good with big and little cores which sound good for gaming. But my main point is that right now I am sure that an upgrade to either NVIDIA's 4xxx or AMD's next GPU wouldn't take me to the next level without a CPU upgrade.

So I can confirm that the 4090 fitted in the case grand because I'm an absolute idiot and had FOMO so had to see if I could get one. Even with the aio the h710i case had plenty of room for the zotac trinity I nabbed.
Now trying to see how the bottleneck will fare!
