China's electric car market is booming but can it last?
Cheap electric cars are selling fast but the end of subsidies could end the sales boom.

LOL, 3rd pic down.

I don't think wealthy countries are the target market. It would be great to replace the polluting small vehicles across Asia.![]()

There are some fabulous Chinese Evs out there. Bjorn's YT channel from Norway shows some of the great cars that they make. No, but I also wouldn't drive a Citroen AMI. But MG electric cars seem to be pretty popular here, and I'd certainly like a go in Xpeng P7.
Looks like an upmarket Citroen Ami.![]()

Renault are still making the Zoe. It doesn't grab headlines anymore, but a very capable and well priced small EV.i'd love an EV the size of my current Suzuki Swift though that'd be ideal
Yeah i do like the look of the newer Zoe to be fair since it got DC fast charging, unfortunately still a bit out of my price rangeRenault are still making the Zoe. It doesn't grab headlines anymore, but a very capable and well priced small EV.
I'd bet on the Chinese cars that actually get sent to foreign markets being very well made exactly because of this reputation. Not a chance, Chinese made stuff has a habit of falling apart unless someone watches the company to enforce standards.
They’ll certainly have all the certificates to say they are. CE = China Export.I'd bet on the Chinese cars that actually get sent to foreign markets being very well made exactly because of this reputation.
