A brief swipe on my phone... in standstill traffic.

Someone will be round to smash your back door in later

Would have been a fine on the spot I would have thought. That said picking up your phone in the car for anything now is likely to get you in trouble if caught, even using it in a cradle can be dodgy ground if the police think you are distracted.
Use mine all the time in a dash holder, they've never batted an eye.
As long as your sensible it's no different than reaching over to change the fan settings.

Who ever that cyclist is deserves a medal. Normally those headcam cyclists are just out to cause trouble and aggravate vehicles but what he is doing is a good deed!

It was the 50 greatest lov..

Nah, nothing special, Sky 2, by Sky :)

bloody hell how old are you ..97 ?

In answer to your question - if its a van then they have better things to be doing (i.e going to smash a door down/ Transporting some equipment/norty boy/getting the pizza in etc etc)

You can relax

or can you ?.........

Brave guy sooner or later hes going to end up with a proper gammon who is going to lose it big time

Oh this is going to be a problem for me now, I love this sort of thing

This merc driver wasnt too happy ;)

He's been around for a few years.

It's funny I'm sure we are all guilty of touching a phone or losing concentration at times. But when someone drives into you while stationary at a roundabout from the rear and writes your van off it becomes a different feeling.
This guy "Cycling Mikey" posts a lot. Gets lots of comments like "where can I find this man" and "I need to teach him a lesson" Shame really.

6 points oof, that's painful.

I'm on two minds on this one. I hate that people text and drive and doom scroll through insta but I'm not really a fan of people going out of their way to find and report them.

I don't think it is dodgy grounds anymore. I believe there was a ruling earlier in the year that made interacting with any electronic device (including ones inbuilt into the car) an offense that a person could be prosecuted on, if it is belived to have distracted them while driving.

I bet you'd be happy if the police went out of their way to find them.
If so what's the difference other than a manpower issue?

Just put your phone where it's not a temptation. The amount of people I see on their phones going into work (if I get the bus in) is staggering. I literally could see a guy checking his Instagram as he was coming up to a roundabout.

Problem is the introduction of carplay etc plus putting controls into the touch screen because it is cheaper than buttons. A simple turn dial knob with buttons is far less distracting and easier to use while driving.
