Part of me hopes Labour does take that poisoned chalice in 2 years, things could be considerably worse and the populous will wonder why things aren't any better in the single term, then they'll be out for another generation :cry:

Might do the nippers some good to learn that none of the big parties are any good and that its not all demons and hell with the Tories and rainbows and heaven with Labour. Mind you, I did once ask them why they didnt like the Tories , to which they replied "because they are rich and posh *****" ...like being posh is in some way wrong.

:cry: You just cannot win with those types, and then when labour takes power it all goes silent from those types, just like Biden and all those in Hollywood.

Well yeah, it all went quiet because they no longer have an absolute lunatic governing the country via Twitter.

I think "those types" would gladly take their chances with Labour if only to stop rewarding the Tories for their bad behaviour.

Amazing that you're all still doing the ...But Labour... routine, no wonder we're in this mess.

If its the good of the country that we are aiming for then none of the big parties should be elected because none of them have the good of the country as their priority

I've seen about a dozen governments come and go in the last 50 years, of all colours, its not only the Tories who have bent me over, they all have at one time or another. If you want to label something as nonsense, the nonsense thing is that some people think everything will be grand if only Labour were in power , or at the least, anyone other than the Tories. Thats not only nonsense, its downright idiotic. Doesnt matter who is in power after the next election, its not going to all be good just because its not the Tories anymore. Which party do you think will make everything good? ...just so as we all know and can come back to your post in time to come :)

Mrwong, I am growing rather fond of you in a robustly asexual sort of way :) You have exhibited some excellent common sense in your posts of late. On most any forum the disparity in the number of posts about Biden compared to Trump most certainly can't be solely put down to a lack of controversy from Biden worth commenting on. It's more like a lack of anything from Biden being worth commenting on.

It's not about 'making everything good'. It's about actively (intentionally) not making things worse through the decisions people make. Truss was quite happy to trash the economy until it jeapodised her position.
