As title, the missus is thinking of swapping from her Ford Fiesta and quite likes the look of the Puma - any owners here that has any opinions?

We popped into a local car place earlier and had a look at one and the list of extras was impressive to say the least - from heated everything right through to built in massaging for the 2 front seats!

My friend ordered one at the height of chip shortage and every reasonable mod con was stripped off. I think the car itself is cracking though. Next doors have one. Super popular.

it looks nothing like the old hatchback, but a damn fine looking car imo

there's a lovely red one a few doors up from me, suits it really well

The only thing I don’t like about it from test driving one is that the infotainment screen feels like it’s angled towards the passenger ever so slightly, rather than the driver - which would really annoy me. Otherwise it’s a cracking car in my opinion.

Interesting, just looked at the DBX and whilst it looks better than the Puma (particularly the headlights) it still doesn’t look good overall to me :)

If your ordering new your in for a long wait.
Between 6 - 10 months if your lucky. Puma forums have people moaning like crazy over the wait times.
Also its made in romania and the build quality has been lacking on the vehicle for a while now, again lots of bad posts on forums.
Its a great looking car and I did initially order one but after 6 months and now sign of a build date and the ongoing build quality issues i cancelled my order.

Has she driven the 308 ... the 'mild' hybrid aspect of the puma , and like, seems an intermediate, possibly outdated technology (residual value/reliability) now, versus a real hybrid like a 308 with electric motor integrated into nice automatic gearbox , Pugs look on the road too, distinctive versus the ford family grill look (which still looks good on focus too)

She's got her heart set on another Ford to be honest, I don't think the Peugeot is her cup of tea!

Friend of mine had one that works for Ford and he got rid of it for a Fiesta as he said the build quality wasn't good enough.

Interesting, especially with her coming from a Fiesta - we took a test drive on Sunday and it didn't strike me as being much different to be honest!

I think they are for all intents and purposes they are the same car but the issue is that they are built in different factories and the Fiesta factory is better.

I'd take it with a pinch of salt. The Ford Privilege scheme is epic - you are basically incentivised to swap your car every 9 months at no cost. The lad next door has had a Puma -> Fiesta -> Kuga -> and currently a Tourneo lol.
