Watch Dogs Legion - low gpu usage before was ok.

With rt ultra my gpu usage is 100%. dlss off.
You try with dlss on on or off ?

But on second platform you have ddr4 3600.I have to 3600 ddr4.

I have 100% usage when using RT ULTRA but DLSS must be off.
Is you DDR4 dual rank with good timings like the ony I posted CL16-16-16 or garbage timings like CL16-20-20 and sinlge rank?

I'm using dual rank Samsung B-Die which out of the box will outperform other DDR4 single rank kits by 10-20% in CPU limited games and I can easly push it to 4000MT/s with CL16.

With RT enabled you will become CPU limited not GPU limited and this is as expected on RTX 3090 Ti especially when you will use DLSS which will render game at lower resolution and then reconstruct the image.

So you use dlss or off?

That means complety nothing about the RAM performance or at what timings it runs. Without the excact part number or full name I can't tell anything about the RAM performance.

CPU-Z will tell you the timings and part number of the RAM.

ok but you dont told me still you used dlss or not. With dlss off my usage is 100% too

I have more fps now on 1080P than 1440P. You know what i made? I turned DLSS to off and rt goes to ultra ,and more fps in 1080P. So something broken is with dlss.

DLSS is not broken you just don't understand how it works.

DLSS will always have overhead in compare to native res and this will always reult in lower framerate. 1440p DLSS in Quality will render game at 1080p but it will not give you the same performance as native 1080p with DLSS OFF.

RT in Watch Dogs Legion is extremly heavy on the CPU and the GPU, DLSS will again increace CPU load but decrease GPU load therefore you are running into CPU bottleneck.

12700K, RTX 3090 OC, DDR4 3600MT/s CL16-16-16, Ultra preset with RT Ultra and DLSS Quality = 95 FPS avreage and 95% GPU load = not fully CPU bottlenecked

12700K, RTX 3090 OC, DDR4 3600MT/s CL16-16-16, Ultra preset with RT Ultra and DLSS Performance = 99 FPS Average and 82% GPU load = fully CPU bottlenecked because DLSS in performance will render game at lower resulution than quality.

So in my pc that game works bad. Turning on dlss quality on 1440P RT ULTRA i have at beggining game 99% usage. But when i am longer play, it goes down to 80-90% and lower fps i have.
Going to 1080P not helps because fps is the same lilke on 1440P. I reinstalled windows 11 and the same issue.

Switching between resolutions 720P,1080P,1440P with dlss ON ( balanced, qualilty, performance doesnt matter ) giving me the same fps result.

It's working fine, you make threads like thisall the time imagining you have a problem, turn off the fps counter and play the games instead of looking for an issue which tbh looking at this thread and the others you struggle with.

I tested Cyberpunk 2077. Listen.

Using 1440P,ULTRA RT,DLSS QUALITY,rest Ultra. So switching between DLSS modes giving me more or less fps. Normal.
When i go to 1080P i have more fps than 1440P.Normal.
Without RT ( RT OFF ) when i am switching between DLSS OFF , ON--> Quality, balance,or performance i have the same fps on 1080P.
But when i turn ON RT on 1080P switching bewtween DLSS gives me more fps.
Just switching between DLSS ON-OFF or DLSS modes on 1080P not improves my fps without RT ,only on 1080P.

I launch game on 1440P. Have 81fps. gpu usage 93%.
Change to 720P. Still 81fps. Usage 60%
Change to 1080P. Still 81fps. Usage 80%

This is not normal? Why i have such bottleneck on 12900K?

I updated bios, formatted disk and still no go.

I think its windows 11 issue. But i want to be sure and i am downloading after format again Watch Dogs.
I formatted all and installed win 10 22H2. Tested unigine Heaven in 720P and 98% usage. I think now will be fine.

So question why i had issues with usage on win 11 22H2 when somebody not?

Hi all. First apologize for my bad english. But i am in need. So first my pc.I just refreshed topic.

12900K stock with 4880mhz clock ( temps on game 60C )

32 GB 2x16 GB DDR4 3600mhz in GEAR 1

Palit Gamerock Pro OC rtx 4090

1300W Seasonic Platinum Prime

Aorus Elite DDR4 Z690 bios updated

Windows 11 2H22. Updated new nvidia drivers.

So i have issue in Watch Dogs Legion with gpu usage. My gpu usage is definitely too low.

I have gpu 60-65% usage during tested place.

I have 1440P,RT ULTRA and DLSS QUALITY. Fps is between 75-90ps.

I compared with someone and he have 80-90% usage and better fps 95-110. 1440P,RT ULTRA and DLSS QUALITY.
Tested exactly the same place.

He have 13600K + DDR4.

I tried reinstalling windows,changing drivers,turning off gsync,overlay.

I tested 3dmark ,but here are normal scores.
