So he doesn’t have an issue with Fury fighting Chisora as a stay busy fight but he does because it’ll be a voluntary defense of his WBC belt. Ok lol.

Because it is ludicrous someone who claims to be head and shoulders above the division can pick someone who is well past their best as a voluntary defence of a title and it be OK. He is literally scraping the bottom of the WBC rankings for this bout.
Honestly, what has Chisora done in the last few years to warrant a title shot over others on that list that are actually available?

If it was just an exhibition with no belts on the line, fine. But this is literally advertised as a world title fight. This will be Fury's 6th world title fight... and it's against flipping Chisora.

I agree with @sigma that Prime Lewis beats everyone, past and present. Especially once he teamed up with Emanuel Steward.

Tyson has an incredible highlights reel for sure. Ferocious in the ring and while many have tried to emulate it the Peek-A-Boo style that Cus taught Tyson, none have ever come as close to him with being effective with it. However... As much as he transcended sport, his prime was short lived and more often than not when he faced top competition, he fell short.

I share that with you. His record is poor but that’s on him and he should be judged on it when the dust settles. No other fighter on the list you provided bar Usyk and AJ is going to dramatically change that.

Belts, no belts it makes no difference. He’s fighting the same guy he’s permitted to do it as per WBC voluntary defense guidelines. As Chisora put it “If you don’t like it then don’t watch it, spend time with your wife, but don’t talk about it either just mind your own business”.

It's hard to do that when you have people right now saying he is the greatest of all time. I really disagree with you that he only needs to fight Usyk and AJ. I want to see fighters in with all different styles. Conquer the division not just a few of the guys in your era. As the cliche goes 'Styles make fights' and it's true. I want to see how he deals with smaller heavyweights like Hunter and Usyk, How does he deal with someone like Joyce who is probably physically stronger than him and with more of a engine, How would he cope with AJs combinations and boxing ability, How would me match up against the slick style of Sanchez, Handspeed of Ruiz and Hrgovic who had a decent amateur career. That's ignoring new up and commers like Jared Anderson who could well be the next American force in the division.

I want to see fighters achieve all that they can. Not for themselves but for my own entertainment. I may not like Fury as a man but I respect the skills he has in the ring and I want to see him tested in various ways

Money, drugs, prostitutes and King thet was end of Iron Mike in my eyes.

The thing I like to wonder about is how good would he have been had he not went to prison?

He was a brilliant fighter in a bit of a weak era. But once levels rose and the competition went up, he was left wanting more often than not.

So I do think he is a bit overrated but I still have him up there amongst the greats

He was little bit like Wilder very strong punch but small size make him dangerous and he was not very good with tatics , and we need to give him credit for hes age very young world champion.

In my opinion, we never actually got to see a "prime" Mike Tyson, given all that was going on and how young he was.

That in itself, shows just how amazing he was, and we have no idea what he might have been capable of, given he is still widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time.

I still thing Fury is the best around, and whilst his CV is thought of as "light", he is not young any more, and I suspect his appetite for the harder fights is even less then it was before :(

Nah put some respect on Tysons name you can't compare him to Wilder. Wilder is fundamentally flawed in almost every facet of his game. Tyson was well schooled and mastered Cus' style like no one ever has since.

He is a great fighter but I just think he's a bit overrated. Wilder is an awful fighter with an incredible punch.

Tyson was weird in that it felt like he peaked before he even got to his late twenties but how much of that was down to his prison time we'll never know

I'm no expert but his style seemed to suit the younger fighter; the reaction, timing and speed. Also he had the hunger then.

What remains to be seen is whether he would have had the hunger if he'd not gone off the rails. Although, in fairness, would he have ever been as good as he was in his prime if it wasn't for his crazy side? We'll never know.

Yeah you're not wrong that bobbing and weaving style can take a lot out of you. That's why it was so unreal to see a heavyweight move as if they were Hagler.

The guy was a force of nature his blend of speed, power, movement and freakish genetics was mesmerising. Did he have a better career than Lewis, absolutely not, would he have beaten Lewis quite possibly not but you would have watched any of his fights over Lewis because he just had it.

Shame his career went the way it did but what a ride it was. I remember being a kid and his name was like a thing of mythology, I remember staying awake to watch one of the Holyfield fights. Him and Prince Nassem we’re the 2 fighters that made me want to be a boxer as a young kid. They just had it.

Yeah there was Tyson mania. I even wanted to have my haircut just like him with the lines when I was a kid. He was a phenomenon.

Last I saw of Lewis he looked like he was carrying some extra timber so advantage would go to Mike but then Mike is now always high or tripping of ayahuasca so maybe that would tip the favour back to Lewis :p

While it's not an actual fight, this is one of my favourite Tyson moments. What an entrance and that probably caused Spinks to be beaten before he even got to the ring.

"My style is impetuous. My defence is impregnable"

And this just cause it always makes me laugh
