What's the point of watching this season anymore?

The p1 is taken by multiple tenths by the car that broke the rules and everyone is acting like max is a hero.

You point that out on Reddit and you get banned from the sub.

Come on man, I'm sure every driver could be higher or lower in the WDC if we play an endless game of "what if" or "yeah but". You have taken my post out of context as a dig at Hamilton, which it really wasn't!

Like him or loath him, Hamilton has some class, so I'm sure he won't be "yeah but I got beaten cos I was experimenting at the beginning of the season" and will just take it on the chin and move on.

They are but RB look to be using the same tactic Merc did when they had a huge car advantage and setting the car up for pure race pace.

Merc look to have picked up qualy pace in the last few races but it seems to be at the expense of tyre life as they don't seem to be able to extract those extra laps they could before over the other teams

Hopefully merc car has Improved in general and they still are quicker in the race than quali

Max is going to win isn't he, Merc might get 2nd and 3rd, if they all survive the first corner. One stop race medium then hard I guess, didn't pick up on how long the softs last, are they a race tyre?

Not so sure about sailing off, thank Merc & Red bull car are very close at this track. Problem for Mercedes is even if they get ahead, how are they going to hold red bull off down the straight

Qualy doesn't tell us much. Ferrari has so often looked quick in qualy, only for Max to sail on by and into the distance in the race.

Pundits are supposed to be unbiased, which can’t be said for the Sky team. Ted is frankly awful, he’s in the same pool as Coulthard, painful to listen to.

Honestly I don't really trust what any of the team principal say, they'll be protecting theirs and drivers interests. Surely if these "experiments" didn't work in FP1 and FP2 they would switch to the traditional set up by FP3 and qualy. I think Lewis just took longer to adjust to the new design, similar to Seb (who took even longer) in 2014 season.

Who knows just going by whats been said looks like Lewis was doing more of the experimenting being more experienced and Russell being the new driver

He said it quite few times about reverting back for fp3 and qualifying no doubt the cars improved

No doubt there would have been testing going on but imo after having the best car for 8 years in the row I just think the early results were more due to him having to adjust.

Yeah I'm sure the team are lying to protect Lewis and it is just a complete coincidence that George has been getting smoked since they stopped the experiments. I think some people have been watching Christian Horner speak too much rubbish and assume all the team principles are the same.

I think we say that every damn race weekend. Promising in quali, then in race pace the RB just blows everyone out of the park. Happy to be proven wrong though.

I think every single comment out of anyone at Mercedes has been quite open about Lewis doing more testing than George, and in the contrary George keeping his setup fairly consistent. Lewis, is a 7/8 time world champion, he doesn’t need the team to protect him from bad headlines if was not performing.

For the record I don't think either Lewis or George have been massively better then the other this season. When neither of them had any technical issues they both finished close to each other so not sure why you think that Lewis had been that much better. Sure he's outqualifying George but when it comes to race results they're both evenly matched

The funniest thing about the Sky boycott is Verstappen fans spending years telling everyone how much of an alpha he is and how he likes to talk frankly and doesn't get offended or care about others' opinions.
