Hey,

My dad has an MG3 (2016) and as far as i can see on the interwebs it takes standard H4 bulbs for both the main & dipped so should only need a twin pack.

The bulbs in there right now as far as I'm aware are probably the factory ones, Or at least some cheap aftermarket ones replaced by the previous owner as they're really not very bright and are yellow!

Was looking to get him some decent white light replacements, Are the Phillips H4s any good for example the Racing Vision or Extreme Vision?
Or would you guys recommend another brand?

cheers :)

I stuck the Philips Extreme Vision 130% in my truck - massive difference over the standard bulbs. Dipped they have a slight yellow hue but much nicer than normal halogen colour, main is closer to LED white and a huge improvement in distance and how much things stand out.

Some people say they don't find the brighter/racing bulbs to last anything like as long as the OEM/generic ones - but I do a lot of driving at night on roads where you can be constantly on and off the main beam, etc. and so far they've lasted well.

Bosch is a little more LED like white light like but doesn't illuminate quite as far and things stand out more with the X-tremeVision. Can't compare against the Racing Vision though or the G-force.

The X-tremeVision have an even more noticeable slightly yellow hue compared to the Bosch when dipped but this is actually an advantage IMO as it works better through fog and spray, etc. and is still a long way from the hue of standard halogens.
