Hi all

I'm currently on a 3080ti and a Lenovo Thinkvision Creator Extreme 4k 60Hz.

Assuming I'm maxing settings, how much longer do you think I'm good for with the likes of Witcher 3 RTX edition coming? My gut feeling is I'll be struggling to keep minimum frame rates at 60fps for more than the next 6 months.

I'm figuring used prices for the 3080ti will take a hit when the 7800 comes in the scene, so upgrading to a 7900 xt or xtx might not be a bad shout.

So you are asking if a GPU that isn't out yet with no reviews will be able to play a game which is also not yet released with benchmarks?....

I think if you want a serious answer you are going to have to wait for both of those things.

I think witcher rtx on max setting will probably be "ok" on a 3080ti. 60 fps isn't much but it might not do that without dlss on psycho rt.

I've not had a game that can't his 60fps at 4K with my 3080ti yet so I'd not worry about the Witcher 3 remaster tbh I'm pretty sure I was getting 4k 60 with a 1080ti on the standard version.

Thanks - I was struggling to hit it on a modded version with a 2080 Super, but that may have been down to poor optimisation with some of the lighting mods.

How much faster in ray-tracing are you expecting the 7900xt (non-x) to be vs your 3080ti? Projecting on what AMD have said so far I'm thinking it might still be within a single digit difference of your 3080ti? Raster will be a full gen ahead I think, 40+%, but how much of that do you need right now?

For people wanting 100+ fps in 4K or have a high res VR headset I think it could be worth it.

Thanks - if it's single digit territory, then I'll be depending on FSR support, which seems pretty hit and miss. I might be better off sitting tight and seeing if the 7900 xtx triggers a 4080 price cut.
