Hi All,

With all the options currently available for cpus I am a little lost on what to go for. I don't have a huge budget so max around £400 for cpu + mobo but ideally under this if possible. I will be running a 3060ti FE and had been looking at potentially the 5600x but not sure what mobo to pair with it if I did. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

There's so many boards out of stock/pre-order, but I would go with the B550-Plus II TUF WIFI for £150 (if ATX is fine for your case), with the 5700X or 5800X (assuming you don't need ram).

If you do need ram, I'd get the 5600 non-X for £140, same board and 32GB DDR4.

Cheers, don't need ram and ATX is fine.

If you're looking for a good CPU and motherboard combo for around £400, I would recommend the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and an ASUS Prime B450M-A/CSM motherboard. The Ryzen 5 3600 is a great mid-range processor that offers excellent performance for the price, and the ASUS Prime B450M-A/CSM is a great budget motherboard that offers plenty of features and good build quality. This combo should be more than enough to handle your 3060ti FE, and you should have plenty of money left over for other components.
