Hey guys,

Bought an MSI 3080 RTX, which was supposedly brand new, was a bit suspect the card had a few specs of dust on it. Anyway, I put the card in, and the LED on the card logos do not turn on, I read online this is an MSI issue, and light show could fix it, anyway wasn't able to find MSI lightshow as an option in MSI Center or MSI gaming, but the card was working fine. 3 days later the display starts turning off, but the card was spinning on maximum fan speed, now it does this every time I boot into Windows. Feels like a faulty card? I put my old 1080ti gtx in and it's working fine, prior to this, I had SLI 1080gtx working with no issue, so not sure it's a PSU problem. Doing a return, so can anyone recommend a low power intensive, good graphics card I can buy instead? I got this card for £650 but am happy to go to £850. Current system AMD 58003DX, 1000 watt psu (5 years old, could it be an issue) updated bios on Asus Prime X370 PRO.

For that money I'd go with the 6900XT @ £650 from OCUK. https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...9-99-649-99-for-loyal-forum-members.18962150/

Prolly not many left so be quick. Dont think you'll see fps/£ that good for a while. 3090 performance and with loads of VRAM

Thanks will it support gsync on my samsung odyssey g9?

Yep, as that monitor is freesync - not many monitors come now with a dedicated G-sync module which ties you to Nvidia. G-sync compatible just means it meets or exceeds the G-sync standards - primarily the G-sync range it works across.

'Could' wait for todays release of the new AMD cards - they'll be hard to get, but you 'could' just buy the 6900XT and return it - cheeky I know but all within the rules. Can imagine a bun fight for the AMD cards anyway - depends on stock. unless RT is a must - then maybe wait and see the performance of the new cards at ~2pm? Still dpont think you'll get the same fps/£ on the new cards...... all just a guess though.

G-sync monitors, primarily the ones with a v2 module also work perfectly well with AMD, just enables adaptive sync. Been using my Alienware with a 6800xt
