You realise there are people much smarter than you who hold different views, don't you?

I expect so, yes. Thank you for that epiphany Sherlock.

Views regarding Brexit being anything other than an absolutely monumental, self-harming catastrophe for our country however?

No... The damage is done, the data is in, and the evidence is now undeniable. It's not really subjective opinion any longer and finally most people have woken up to the fact that the Emperor has no clothes on.

Still, if there actually is anyone left still banging the pro-Brexit drum who doesn't have some kind of personal vested interest in it, in spite of the economic and political damage it's now glaringly obvious to have caused us as a nation; then they're either incapable of evaluating the evidence critically, or they're unwilling to do so when it comes to this topic for whatever reason.

But as always, feel free to pop into the relevant thread and prove me wrong with data, evidence and rational argument.

How are you that ignorant while claiming otherwise?

I don't even know what you mean by this. Can you be more specific?

What exactly do you think that I'm ignorant of, that I've claimed not to be?

What makes you Sankari has some trans hate thing going on? I don't recognise it

Because, to follow the theme of the thread; Tony has caught the woke mind virus.

@Sankari is gender critical and has plenty of posts on the topic both in a thread that vanished on here and in the other one in SC, having GC views is a perfectly legitimate positon (one held by various feminists on twitter etc..) but in Tony's mind criticising an ideology = hate.

Also things are breaking on twitter, but at the moment they're minor things that are taking longer than they should to put right, and he's messing up even the "simple" things like moving "verified" users to the new improved categories such as the Swedish government accounts were labelled as Swaziland official ones (they didn't even use the official name of Eswatini, they renamed 4 years ago), and did the same to at least one other countries official accounts, I guess the people that knew such things (say the ones who used to work in regional offices, or whose job it was to deal with those countries) were not hard core coders enough to be worth keeping....

This stuff was fixed pretty quickly though, right? I mean at break-neck speed compared to how quickly something like this might've been fixed by the old Twitter. I think you know there are going to be some teething problems when big changes happen at pace, but it's really how Twitter looks in 6-12 months that will matter.

Won't go into Brexit for obvious reasons, glad you recognise there are people able to effectively weigh up the evidence who come to different conclusions though.

You're ignorant because you think everyone capable of making smart informed decisions agrees with you, that isn't the case. In most controversial subjects in recent times there have been smart people on both sides of the argument.

I wish this thread wasn't absolutely dominated by the same people who rabidly shared any negative Trump story, it's so boring. Can't you go to Speaker's Corner and tell each other how bad Brexit was and how Rishi Sunak shouldn't be PM because he's a bit too well off

If you wish really hard, write it on a note and send it to santy Claus, and if you've been a good boy, maybe he'll get you it for Christmas.

In the mean time, unfortunately you will continue to daily post stuff that brings us all laughs and joy as we read your stuff.

My post from yesterday still applies. Take a chill pill, go be a hero and save others lives so that you can boast about it in this thread. You're so desperately trying to win over acceptance and praise from users in this thread, you're just mocking yourself with the stuff you're coming out with now.

Anyway back to criticizing (not hating on) Elon Musk for his constant lies

How it started

How it's going

I've never understood the issue with this - the fact he owns 4 private jets and their registrations are public means anyone can track them for free at any time. The someone chooses to publish this specifically is no different to someone else using google for 30 seconds to find out where his planes are.

Ahh do you want a safe space echo chamber back in GD?

Well yes, about something that's subjective; of course. If something is objectively true and I've ended up at an incorrect conclusion after having evaluated the evidence, then I've evaluated that evidence poorly, or somewhere along the line, I've reasoned poorly.

It's a bit of a redundant point really, because surely that's obvious? But anyway...

You're ignorant because you think everyone capable of making smart informed decisions agrees with you, that isn't the case.

Are you sure you're understanding of the word ignorant is accurate? Being ignorant of something simply means that you lack knowledge of it

All of us are ignorant of most things...

But putting that aside for a moment, of course I don't think that everyone capable of making smart decisions agrees with me on everything, that would be silly.

But in cases where absolutely no one has been able to put forward a remotely convincing argument to the contrary, then it would be equally silly to paint a false equivalence between two opposing positions. In such cases a firm belief in your own conclusion is absolutely justified; at least until such time as someone has put forward enough opposing data to shift the balance of evidence away from your currently held view.

At which point, on whatever topic our hypothetical happens to be, we should change our mind.

In most controversial subjects in recent times there have been smart people on both sides of the argument.

In most controversial subjects of recent times, assuming we're thinking of the same ones; there has been overwhelming expert opinion on one side.

The fact that a small handful of smart people might have come to incorrect conclusions isn't particularly surprising. Smart people become convinced of incorrect things all the time. The difference is however, when presented with overwhelming evidence that they're wrong, smart people change their mind.

Anyway, i'm sure this is a tedious read for most people, so maybe we should move on?

Well, if Musks ambition was to cuddle up to covid denier trump supporters, even if they do live in the UK (I mean…what are you thinking?) then that part seems to be working. Let’s hope it’s all to get you to follow him in a big line just walking into the sea to recapture Atlantis where all the fake votes are stashed.
The Tesla truck is coming (one day). It could all be a genius plan to align himself with the inbred hillbillies, so they buy his trucks.

Anyway cool, literally of no relevance to this thread. You also did this in Speakers Corner, replying in paragraphs to simple points.

You're a strange kind of human.

Call me old fashioned, but usually when people quote someone on an internet forum, they're not surprised when that person responds to them.

He's lost his marbles. It's the only explanation. What you've written (whether agreeable or not) is fair and open to discussion.

Maybe that is the issue. He's not looking for discussion, and so blames you, for why he, can't reply.
