If you all weren't so biased against him you'd realise that maliciously sharing the location of people isn't ok, I don't agree with the solution and I think the rule will need tweaking but clearly it isn't a nice thing to do setting up a bot to effectively track someone's location. Quite obviously no one would like that.

So now you agree, there should be moderation on twitter.

I think he was clear it wasn't free speech absolute, I mean he banned Kayne West pretty quickly.

I'm not biased against Musk in the slightest, and even I think the banning of accounts linking through to publicly accessible aircraft trackers is a dick move.

He banned the guy and all his tracker accounts. Now after being mocked relentlessly he's unbanning it with a hilariously unenforceable delay clause.

How so? The rule applies to everyone posting anyones location. Made up specially to justify banning the elonjet account but it applies to everyone posting anything to make it less obvious.

And after all that, the same guy is now posting his trackers on other sites.

The insecurity is immense. The $10B company owner personally sweating over banning one kid.

Some of the replies have pertinent points. A plane is not a person and the most important part of these rules are that they specify they'll enforce them or ignore them if they feel like it.

This video was a good one from mkbhd. Great to see how self driving is coming along, but it's later than promised, and still I'd say not at all usable in a relaxing way, based off that video. The sort of thing you'd use once, and then never again. Having to have your foot constantly on break out of fear is not a good feeling. I can understand why Tesla owners are suing due to false advertising regarding self driving abilities

There's a lot of people very clearly announcing that they know it's a farce.

Give it a few hours for the actual news sites to write it up but the idea of posting the rule change after the owner has a guy banned off the site should have any genuine free speechers choking on the hypocrisy.

Loads of people are biased against Musk - unfortunately the last couple of years or so he seems intent on proving any and everyone who ever might have had a criticism of him, validly or otherwise, right.

There are loads of people who hate him out of hand, including a few posters in the threads here, out of jealousy or their ego being challenged by the fact he even exists though they'd never admit it.

Same with the guy from the cave rescue, though the media has warped a lot of people's perceptions of the story by getting the wrong end of the stick and never correcting the record, he acted out of his own bias against Musk rather than the actual situation and sadly got a rise out of Musk turning the whole situation into a sordid affair.

So technically Elon is still using the old Twitter policy's except for the live location rule which he added. Which means there's even less free speech on Twitter then when he bought it

Also there are certain journalists, including my best mate, who have their accounts withheld in India, Israel and other countries at the specific request of the respective governments. Withheld if anyone doesn't know means their accounts appear banned or suspended when you search for them.
