Boiler CH/HW issue

CH is turned off via the Danfoss programmer and thermostat.

HW is on and I’ve heard the pump running non stop. I’ve not got out of bed yet to chdck but I think the boiler is running as well.

Like this has been 3 hours. It’s on off on off.

Frost protection would be my first guess considering the weather.

Get out of bed and see if the boiler is telling you anything.

Just to confirm I went down and the boiler wasn’t running but the pump in the cupboard with the tank was. Oddly the roads were warm. Not all of them but some.

99% of the time pumps overrun to shift heat away from the boiler. So that's normal.

If it carries on and it's not frost protection one of your danfoss switch valves has/is starting to fail.

I had the same happen to me a few years ago. Turned out to be faulty pump
