rang the local ford dealer up this morning jumped through all the hoops as regards pressing buttons to select departments etc and finally got through to the parts dept.....
great recognised the voice straight away wohoo got talking about how things were and asked about others to be told most of the guys i knew had either retired or died
(((( in fact out of all the staff at the dealer only 3 people i knew the new sale director was a junior salesman when i knew him, one part guy was a apprentice, even the guy i spoke to was a newbie when i first dealt with him...
then the shock .......he says to me well gareth it was 34 years ago since i started here. blimey i retired 22 years ago doesnt time fly grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
