How many m.2 drives on ASUS PRIME Z790-A WIFI?

Hi,

So I'm looking at getting the ASUS PRIME Z790-A WIFI motherboard and I'm trying to figure out how many M.2 SSDs I can install without affecting the PCIe lanes used by the GPU or other M.2 drives.
You can fit 4 drives on the motherboard and from the manual I believe 3 of the 4 are on the chipset and so use 4 (each) of the 20 chipset PCIe 4.0 lanes?
So I could fit 3 M.2 drives without affect the GPU PCIe lanes right?

Yes. The CPU's M.2 lanes are independent of the graphics lanes, so you can use all the slots.

Some high-end boards split the CPU lanes on the primary PCI-E to get a pci-e 5.0 SSD, but you don't have one, so you're not affected.
