How do you find the Focal Alpha Evo 65's? I was looking at buying those but ended up getting the HK audio Polar 10's instead, yes, i know, totally different

I can't remember if this thread needs a picture per post or if that rule changed but let's live a little and see what happens! How do you find the Focal Alpha Evo 65's? I was looking at buying those but ended up getting the HK audio Polar 10's instead, yes, i know, totally different![]()

Are your headphones the ATH-M50x?I can't remember if this thread needs a picture per post or if that rule changed but let's live a little and see what happens!
I love the Focals. I spent most of a morning at the Rock Shop on K Road in their sound room and tried out 7 different sets of monitors. I was moving from KRK Rokit 6's (G3) so pretty entry level stuff but the clarity that the Focals produce is something else. I'd initially thought the Adam Audio range would be what I ended up buying and while they were very good they weren't brilliant. The other thing which has made a substantial difference to the sound is the isolation units which now separate the monitor from the desk better than the foam risers I was using as well as raising the monitor to ear level.
These are Focal Alpha 50 Evos not the 65's which are also amazing but were a touch out of budget. Maybe next time
e: hmm, those Polars are interesting. How does the bluetooth and inbuilt DSP work? I would have thought both move you away from that neutral sound everyone is after (but maybe that's exactly your intention).

I will stand on a balcony and see what happensHow you expect to test it? Spray a bit and see if a bunch of birds come flocking?

Pfft It's one of those brands that are if you know you knowLooked it up to see if it was some mega expensive fragrance and was disappointed.
Genuinely amazing fragrances that last a long time but are seriously cost effective. See the whiffs thread for feedback. Victor number 9 is the best one of course but never seen this blue one before. No 9 is like Creed to a T, lasts ages on me too and often gets mistaken for Creed. Will give Number 9 a go. For £12 it'd be rude not to.I will stand on a balcony and see what happens
