I only vaguely remember it and I had to check with my brother and sister where exactly it was and when it was removed as I wasn't sure if it was in the kitchen or the bathroom. It was in the kitchen and was taken out in the early 70s when we had storage heaters installed.

Carpet in the bathroom. My parents still have it. Revolting idea. It must be a generational thing from growing up having to use an outhouse in their childhood.

Those eye level grills were great because you could watch what's cooking on them without having to bend down. So much more convenient.

VCR player! My first one had the separate tuner and recorder as the recorder was paired with a camera in it's original life. How my dad carried it around on his shoulder I've no idea.
