Just opened the box containing a Gigabyte X570S UD and note that there is no driver disk included, is this usual these days?

None of you have actually answered my question as to whether motherboards come with driver/extras disk nowadays both boards last year did.
I am fully aware that I can download any drivers its far more of a FAFF than to to have everything pertaining to the mobo is in one place on a disk?

They haven't come with a disk for quite a while. Enthusiast boards, anyway

The last board I bought, along with a 3700X (Asus X570 something), had nothing extra in the box. Good job too as I haven't had an optical drive in over a decade

Cheaper boards seem to come with the driver disc still but only from certain manufactures, others have started shipping usb sticks with the drivers on instead and some have done away with them full stop.

I have heard some boards come with a USB stick with drivers on.

My MSI Z690 Edge WiFi came with a USB 3.0 stick with the drivers and software on it. It's still sitting in the motherboard box sealed in it's packet because I always download the latest drivers from the manufacturers website before I start the build.
