So i have a, PNY GeForce RTX 3070 8GB XLR8 Gaming GPU which has a 3 Year Warranty, i need clean the heatsink as it is caked with dust and noticed the temps increasing over time. I have tried using compressed air but only shifts a little of the build up of dust, 2 screws on the GPU has warranty stickers on them. Here in the UK if i remove these stickers does this void the warranty on the card?

use a toothpick or brush if the buildup is too much to remove with compressed air from a can or get a mains powered one which i use

Sadly i cant get to the majority of the heatsink due to the design of the card

that mains powered one i listed will blow the **** out of that dust, stick it between the blades to stop them spining then go to town with the focussed nozzle:D

yes its a bit of an upfront cost but can use it to dust your pc regular and not get in the same jam again :)

Thanks, ill ask the question then if not ill have to get the air blower Alt0153 suggested.

I just thought a law had been passed where you were aloud to take products you owned apart without voiding the warranty, but maybe that was just in the USA

only usa

Use some 100% IPA to soak the sticker / melt away the glue and very very carefully use a razor blade to lift and remove it from the edges.

Clean up and either keep the sticker somewhere safe if you ever need to RMA it or put it back.

I dont know what PNYs policy on warranty stickers are, with EVGA you could remove them no problem and it just meant they would give the PCB extra attention on any RMA work to ensure it hasnt been damaged by the end user, but wouldnt otherwise change anything.

Yup, I've got one and it does a much better job than tins of air. I generally just stick one of my fingers in the fans and go at it from as many angles as I can.
If it's really grubby maybe take it outside or you'll end up spraying crud over you, the room and any passing cats.

I would remove the link as OCUK sell these as well.

I got this for Christmas and managed to clean out a complete PC is under 5 mins

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £39.95 (includes delivery: £0.00)

but i heard that atmospheric air is susceptible to static discharge and you would need a gas with high ionization potential, isnt that the reason for using compressed gas cans?

Jetwash it. I've seen youtube videos of it being done on mining cards so it must be true it works if its on youtube.

;)
