Blown double glazing - can't see beading to remove though?

I've got to do this on one of mine. Silly question maybe but why are some externally beaded? A thief could whip off the beading and pull the pane out in seconds? Do they only do this on second floor windows due to this? I don't really understand why since it's easier surely to do from the inside?

You have to remove the inner rubber seal to let the glass move enough to "unclip" the bead, even then it can be a pain .

NOT always
really old windows had the internal rubber seal bonded to the frame and external beaded. You just had to `pry` out the beads
SOME,not all had little clip things to stop you removing the glass after this.It was possible to remove these clips but not easy and not something a scrote would be able to do :)

My mums kitchen windows still have the pry marks from where we were attempted to be broken into. Like a patina.

ITT: externally beaded windows were a stupid idea.
