Is Zen still good.

I personally wouldn't touch Zen with a bargepole now. They have rapidly gone downhill, their Plexus network is poor and their customer support has deteriorated significantly.

I was with PlusNet on and off for ages and for the price they were brilliant. My mum is still with them and they've always been good with her be it faults or billing.

Yeah but most ISP's will be raising their prices from March/April. None of them are going to be cheap.

oh wow, surprised at that from Zen!

I recently joined Vodafone and tbh, its been great up-time, good customer support and the price overall. More than happy!

My mate is with Cuckoo, it runs on TTB (TalkTalk Business), he's in London, gets around 2ms consistently no drops.
Giganet brought Cuckoo a few months ago.

Our small business has 7 sites with Zen and we don’t have issues with them. Not like when we were with Virgin Business and the lines would literally slow to 20% speed until we complained and then they would suspiciously go back up in speed. Apparently a lot of cabinets in the Manchester/Salford area were build with partially defective components and they would move your line around in the cabinet until they found a consistently good component to plug you into. I don’t know if that’s true but it certainly described our customer experience.

At my own home/home office in Norfolk I’m now on Upp and their home service is fast, reliable and cheap but their business offer is fast, reliable and REALLY expensive. They make Zen look dirt cheap for their business offering. Bottom line, Zen are reselling Openreach DSL and fibre products so if you don’t need a fixed IP address, you can get the same service for a lot less money and I would say Vodafone are great until you have an issue at which point they’re hopeless. But we have 3 locations still with Vodafone and they’ve had zero issues in 3 years and they’re really cheap with a fixed IP address.

Went with BT, someone in the household qualified for home essentials (Did not know it even existed). £20 a month for 63Mbps download, best deal I will ever find.

Yes. Solid speeds and still great support for me.

Ive been with virgin, bt and zen over the years and you get what you pay for in terms of speed and quality

I am with Zen and haven't eperienced any of the problems others on here have. I'm not On-Net but am aware of some of the problems they are supposed to have had. I do know they are planning some more network upgrades over the coming months which will hopefully alleviate some of the current peak time issues they are seeing.

I was recently put on Zen's FTTP package, I get 6 ping, 950mb download, 110 upload. So I can't complain, I was having major doubts though after reading some horror stories but this is definitely area dependant at the moment. Hopefully they sort their network out for those problem areas.

In the past yes but now its a firm NO.
I've recommended them to family and friends and wish I didn't.
Endless issues mainly because of Kelly Communications and City Fibre's shocking install process but Zen also fail to resolve anything despite having a customer charter.
Tech support is really going down hill some of the managers don't seem to have a clue either.
