So having been in storage for the last 18 months, I will finally be getting the R32 GTR back on the road this summer, firstly being shipped to RB motorsport to change all fluids, full service and fit new Toyo R888 tyres and a general health check. The car will be used during summer months only in dry/sunny weather as a weekend car!

An old pic from when it was imported, I will keep this thread updated with more pics and details as the work is done and the car back on the road :)

The car was extensively modified in Japan and recently upgraded further at RB Motorsport with new turbos, 1000cc injectors, fuel pump, cams etc producing a very drivable car with over 500BHP

Full details and updates to follow!

Recent upgrades at RB Motorsport in 2018

I think the last time I used Rod was back in 2005 with my RB26'd R34GTT. I'm amazed there's still enough Skyline business for places like him, Abbey etc!

Speaking of R34's - The red RB26 engine covers usually mark the engine out as an R34 version over the black RB26 covers fitted to R32/R33 versions. However the covers can be painted/replaced so it's not always a definitive "thats an R34 engine". Do you know much of the history from back in Japan?

Absolutely stunning, wondering if I've seen yours in passing now, timings would potentially line up. So on that note do you happen to know the guy with the white R32 in Treherbert /Ynyswen if so and you've parked there before then yes I have definitely seen it

Here's something for Skyline fans which is unique in the UK, quite possibly anywhere, a BRAND NEW R33GTR shell, from Nissan, (which they have never officially sold, bodyshells have never been publicly available)), just after being fitted with a full chrome molydenum FIA spec and certificated weld in multi point cage, with air jack turrets and fitted for a high pivot pedal box.

Is this yours? Or from somewhere else?

That's going to be worth a penny when finished.

No, it's mine, when I get time I am going to swap out all the good stuff from my mule now it's developed into the new shell. Got all the air jacks and stuff, just time is against me. All the running gear has been developed in a couple of R33GTS-t shells. I am building it as a 2 wheel drive car like the GTS-t. Proper thing though, Tractive sequential box, Giken custom diff, Group A dampers, Rose jointed suspension, all steel GTR engine on a Motorsport block, Motec M800, blah blah. A bit of a handful but unlike my single seaters I can frighten others in it :)

2 WD is much more fun :)

Yeah they are still going :) There's a guy Mark there I've dealt with recently, really nice guy. But yeah, not many left on the roads now compared to 20 years ago!

Unfortunately don't know a lot of the history from Japan except there was some work done by Renik plus what's been posted, I think the cover has just been painted opposed to it being an R34 engine, I'm sure Rod would have mentioned it when it went in for the uprated turbo's etc.

That's absolutely stunning. Why was it in storage for so long?

Thanks, unfortunately my Dad suffered a stroke last January and never came home, me and my sister spent every day visiting at hospitals and finally the care home where he recently passed away, so it was garaged throughout, sadly my Dad was never able to drive it again and I didn't have the time.

I don't know him, don't think I have seen a white one in Wales. We would usually take the car(s) up Brecon, Mid wales or up the west coast to Aberystwyth.

The last drive we did up to Brecon, I had the C63 at the time but have since sold it.

I do love Jap cars, started at an Evo II when I was 18, then moved on to a JDM Impreza STi v7 (bugeye) at 21, then various other Evo's, Supra's, DC2 Integra and more over the years. Loved going to Japfest at Castle Combe every year! The R32 GTR is by far the best car I have driven though, this one the best of them all but also drove the initial one my Dad had back when I was 19 on the road legally (I'm 36 now) and also around 13 years old when my Dad taught me how to get it sideways on an industrial estate :D He was always into his Porsches but Gran Turismo on the PS1 got me interested into Jap cars, I seen an advert for a Jap Import Company in Plymouth at the time (wasn't common back then) and persuaded my Dad to take a look and he bought a Galant VR4 from them firstly and we became close friends over 10+ years, with him buying many cars from them and also often picking up cars from the Docks for them, the Subaru 22B being the most memorable, got to drive that also around 15 years old :) I don't think I will ever sell this one, unless due to ill health, along with the 996 Turbo is the 2 cars I have now, both with great memories with my Dad :)
