Oof - 46 in a 30

Well that didn't take long, letter arrived today. £100 & 3 points.

I'll take that, could've been a lot worse!

Got off lucky there, they do seem to be relaxing their speed enforcement. Most of the social media posts by our local police seems to be along the lines of ‘setup speed boards or had a chat with some people over the limit’.

Little update to this, our renewal price, NOT including points:

Your single payment price this year £341.05

Last year's single payment price £306.75

Shopped around on the usual comparison sites, £300.08.

No change in circumstances, seems 3 points is negligible.

Even 6 points and a chunky fine still seen my premium drop the next year. I think unless you end up with a ban any sort of speeding points are almost ignored these days.

Ok boomer

I pay about £200 annual car insurance comprehensive I'm not even 40.

Depends where you live.

If you pay a lot for your insurance it's probably because you live in a **** hole full of thieving ********.

.....whilst we are throwing assumptions round. :)

Yoink!

Time to disclose my absolute abhorrent child-murdering behaviour to the insurance company, I can't find the right speeding code and it's not on my current insurance for some reason, anyone know what it would be?

It's usually SP30, SP40 etc depending on what speed limit you broke.

When I declared an SP30 years ago, my insurance cost actually went down. It was stil £60 at the time so it pretty much paid for itself :D
