As per the title of the thread which 7900xtx model is best one to get? I currently have the fractal design meshify c case which has 315mm clearance with front case fan installed & if my measurement is correct like 335mm with the fan removed, I was originally looking at the sapphire pulse which just about fits with the front fan installed.
I have all three of the front fans currently installed so I’m thinking about removing the middle one to allow for the longer cards to fit, the non-reference models that I’ve found so far that fit and instock are

Asrock phantom gaming oc
Gigabyte gaming oc
Msi gaming trio
Powercolor hellhound
Sapphire pulse
Sapphire nitro+ might have to remove bottom fan as well, also £1300

Do you have to use the anti-sag bracket? The powercolor website mentions the dimensions with & without the bracket(wouldn’t fit with the bracket as 338mm long), don’t think the others mentioned it.

The nitro+ obviously. I wouldn't personally for the price of any GPU to be honest.
It is very tempting but apart from the price of the card it’s also it’s size, I’m thinking about getting the cooler master nr200p max & going by the official specs of the case while the card will fit it’ll be a snug fit to the side of the case cover. The clearance is 75mm and the card is just under 72mm.

Sapphire's Pulse models have historically been excellent if you don't care about all the RGB gimmicks and such. I wouldn't expect this one to be any different. And personally, I do use an anti-sag device, although a stand-type one rather than those silly things that screw into the rear PCIe slot covers. It came free with a Gigabyte card I bought once.

Either get the best in the Nitro+ or if it will not fit then get the cheapest and the Powercolor Hellhound. The Hellhound looks like a relatively small unit so if you have a strong pcie slot in your mobo it is unlikely to sag.

Very happy with my Sapphire Pulse XTX card - does get a little loud when at full tilt but can't hear that with headphones on. Cools down quickly enough when the load drops off which is nice!

Nice heads up Gibbo.

However, not seeing the advantage of the nitro given the extra cost (and I expect, even if discounted). More power, more RGB, is the perf gain enough?

The Nitro's advantage I would say is more about the (already installed) better cooling and silence given the power (it can use), and not "just" the frames it can output vs power consumed when pushed.

It's the same with the Asus x Noctua 30x0 (and upcoming 4080). It's all about how much you can push the card at the least amount of noise and temperature. To which, the Nitro has the most advantage in given the cooling is there (for AMD high end), along with the higher power headroom (if you go for it).
