Gigabyte AMD B550 AORUS B550I PRO AX WiFi/BTS Mini-ITX

I sorted it and dropped all cores -30 and appears to run well
now start to up the max CPU boost clock. you will have to drop from -30.
if you cpu is at -30 and working and boosting to full speed for me thats the place to stop.

mine CPU is set to ECO with -17 with the 2 fastest cores at -7 its aoto boosts to 4.8Ghz and games is the mid 60's.
unless you have a CPU bottleneck there is no need to push it, gaming at 1440p 165Hz there is no way you have a bottleneck.

I'm getting 4.5Ghz and running around 62 when gaming. It's all in a ITX case [ NR200 Max ] so pretty happy with it. The GPU is running at 54

Can you tweak each core ? How do you know what each core is ?

im also on ITX but i have the 5800x it dose boost a little higher at stock.. but your CPU should be hitting 4.6Ghz out of the box so you have undervolted a little too hard and it not hitting max cloc.
if all you do is game, i can recommend ECO mode. all is dose is drop the TDP of the chip and if all you do is game this means it will run cooler and that it. you can then drop you curv offset

you could easy push 4.7 but the extra 100mhz is not worth it if you getting what you need and temps are good.
you need to install Ryzen master, this will show you the best 2 cores then back in PBO just let them have a little extra voltage.

thats a very good number, i have to use an offer set on my GPU and Liquid Metal.
no matter what i did i got a hotspot of 105c and some times it would hit 110c and force shout down, after i used Liquid Metal not my hot spot is max 80c in games and the gpu is at 70c
TBF the GPU is 10mm away from a glass panel. Liquid Metal saved the day

Yeah the new 4 series FE cards were designed around 600 watt and they never pull that. So the heat sink is crazy big and makes for a nice ITX build. My 3080 MSI trio would never see 54s in gaming, it was more like 7, it also pulled another 80 watts of power compared to 4 series cards

Another quick question. I have 16GB of RAM 2 X 8GB sticks. Its currently CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 Desktop memory but I've moved away from RGB stuff in the new ITX build. Would I be better off with 32GB now and what memory is good with a 5800X3D these days ? The mother board is Gigabyte AMD B550 AORUS B550I PRO AX WiFi/BTS Mini-ITX

Thanks

memory is fine now days, if going 32gb stay with 3600mhz and you will have no problems. but only buy bigger if you are buying anyway as 16gb is still fine
