GPU for 1440P PC games

Hi all

I recently got a custom build helped from a friend.
Asus rog B550
32gb of 3600 ram
Ryzen 5 5800X3D
M2 and an SSD
Asus gaming 850W Gold
for a quick summary.

It currently has a 2060 init and will be used for general browsing and PC << games such as Total Warhammer 3, baldurs gate 3 and homeworld 3.
Wondering on a GPU recommendation for 1440P gaming on it, since it will be used for strategy, god sim etc games which tend to be PC exclusives. I dont think it needs raytracing but Warhammer 3 tends to be rather hungry for GPU power.
 
not much in it tbh, youtubers like to argue about stuff that doesn't really matter.

one thing that might decide it is what monitor you have - whether it's gsync or freesync.

I think the negativity is because it doesn't offer as much Generation on Generation improvement as might have been liked, and performance-wise it's similar to the rtx 3080, while only being £60 cheaper (at rrp....), which isn't a great improvement in price:performance considering the rtx 3080 is 2.5 years old now (although considering inflation makes it slightly better). Also it's moved the xx70 card price point a fair bit higher.

None of that means it's a 'bad' card, just general annoyance that price:performance improvements have flattened out.

Negativity is mainly due to the price being jacked up, but its a very good card, especially since the price is going down already. Oh and only 12GB ram.
