The RAC have lost my car.

I’ll make sure that if they accept the story and want to take a photo, that there is some bread in the picture. That’s all I can promise.

Dont forget to blame it on remainers wanting to prove how much this country has gone to the dogs since Brexit or Marxist civil servants:cry:

The plot thickens…….
Car arrived with orange tape across the rear window. Odd, I thought.
Looking at the car, something feels off. Then I notice, no dealer sticker in the rear window.
On opening the boot, I find small pieces of glass…….

So, I reckon some idiot broke the tailgate windows and that’s why no one has been talking to me.

Sounds like their secure storage of wherever that may be, is not so secure or monitored at least.

Imagine if you had work done to your car and didn't tell your insurance company, police void in certain situations. RAC has done something to your car without your knowledge and outside of what you required their services for.

If you weren't a seasoned poster, I'd say you're making this up. Unbelievable!

Can they just unilaterally replace the window without his consent? I mean yes they would be responsible to pay for damage that occurred on their watch, but to do so without any consultation to the owner/their insurer? It's a shame there's no car cam footage to show what actually happened.

Does anything else seem odd? How are the body panel gaps? Any indication the bumpers have slipped/deformed etc? How is your rear wiper mounted? Ours is through the glass so changing the glass would need the hoses detaching and reattaching, which if done hamfisted will distort the connectors and lead to leaks inside the rear door panel.

I would be having a good look tbh. Also checking the internal panel clips to check they've not been split too if it looks like they'd have to take it off.
