Hi all,

I've not long ago built myself a pc that runs everything fine. It's around a year old but I want to look at potential upgrades as I want to run games without having to worry about tweaking any settings to get a stable frame rate. I'm probably wanting to sink about 1k or less if possible. Current specs are below

Ryzen 7 5700x
Asus Rog B550 wifi mobo
Corsair Rm750 80 gold full modular
Rtx 3060 ti 8gb
Crucial p2 2tb 2400mb/s
32gb corsair vengeance 3600mhz

Any advice will be appreciated :). Was thinking maybe a ryzen 5 7600x as a start but not sure the performance will be that noticeable so maybe something better?

I have a Gigabyte m27q p27 inch monitor

Hello
There are others here that will be able to give you better advice than me. To start off with, the 7600x would need another Motherboard & RAM as said CPU is incompatible with your Current setup.

Most cost effective upgrade would be the GFX card, For £1k would a 4070Ti or AMD RX7900XT.

3060ti will play Cyberpunk 2077 (Currently the most Hardware demanding game out the AFAIK) at your monitors Native Resolution at around 45-50 FPS which is playable? I think your system is balanced and should be able to play anything at 1440p comfortably. If you plan on buying a 4K monitor then I think upgrading the GFX card would make sense.

@Grimley hit the nail on the head a 4070TI or equivalent is the biggest performance increase.

Edit

For a £1000 your in 7900XTX price range but you probably would need a bigger psu.

5700X is fine, but if you really want to be thorough then you could sell the 5700X and buy a 5800X3D, together with a 4070 Ti or 7900 XT. AM5 isn't worth it when you have a high-end Zen 3 CPU.
