Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [25th - 27th April 2023]

Are we saying Wolves and WH safe now? Just been looking at the table from a month ago, what the hell are Villa playing at? They were behind Chelsea

This made me chuckle:

No Jonjo Shelvey in the Nottingham Forest squad tonight.
It has been reported Shelvey reacted badly to being left out of the starting line-up to face former club Liverpool at the weekend and was sent home by manager Steve Cooper.
Shelvey arrived from Newcastle during the January window but a combination of injuries and poor form mean he has had little impact on Forest's relegation fight.

Keown saying the culture at Arsenal has changed and they're winners... they've improved a lot but they've wobbled badly the last few weeks.

Going to be a very interesting game, I think Arsenal have a chance but they could just as easily get smashed.

never thought after all the fergie/wenger years i'd be cheering arsenal on :p i've a few mates would absolutely slaughter me if they knew it

Expecting a pedestrian victory where we have an early chance or two then City just go through the gears, do what they need to do and manage the game out comfortably, reminding you that ultimately you need a squad who can be near perfect all season, not just for 85% of it.

Just shows you how integral one signing and a partnership at the back can be. We were giving away silly goals from set players before Saliba and Tomi got injured but we’re sooooo much easier to score against now so goals for isn’t mattering as much. Avoided losing but that’ll likely end tonight barring a miracle.

It's going to the be the fight of their lives but get a point and City have to be perfect til the end of the season on 3 fronts, no easy job. Brighton and Brentford away the last 2 games, very easy to drop a couple of points there.
