OK this is going to make pretty much everyone in here cringe but that's just the way it goes. Running a decade old loop that quite frankly looks horrific but recently change to am5 and my god the fan ramp up on air kills me. i have 9x120 rad so stupidly high overheads (this was from the old multi gpu days). What's the cheapest am5 ready cpu waterblock you'd recommend without crying into your pasta? Yes i know it should all be put in a museum by now and it's amazing the pump still runs etc etc. But it feels wrong to chuck a big air cooler in there and call it good

You can use any water cooling system with it. you just need a AM5 socker adapter. *** Do not link to competitors - please read the rules ***

was more just wanting peoples experience with the lower end of the cpu block chain for am5. Because my old block was EK but their prices are insanity these days. All i need is a replacement block

No experience but barrow do a £40 CPU block

Fortunately, while the socket has changed, existing AM4 coolers will work just fine with AM5. The placement of the holes is the same as on AM4, and so any AM4-compatible brackets will work on an AM5 motherboard.

I wouldnt worry about the ages of your parts, aslong as they are clean and not leaking. Watercooling hasn't really changed dramatically over the years. Prices have gone up due to gimmicks like RGB and distro plates but rads, pumps and blocks are essentially the same. Not sure how cheap you want to go but as said above Barrow do a block for £40 (no experience with their blocks but their fittings are nice) and Watercool sell the Heatkiller IV Basic for a ~£60. There will be other out there, Byksi are probably worth a look
