my ipace was delivered yesterday. so nice to have a car that puts a smile on my face again.
so far have have 3 issues which are hopefullyna mixture of me doing it wrong and over worrying

1) I don't have the V5 new keepers tear off form.
the delivery guy said it's nothing to worry about.as they sort everything and the V5 will come in the post. it's a reputable high end seller so I accepted this and assume it's correct .... but I can not tax the car (free but I think you still have to do it) and I can't without the new keeper document. also the car is still registered to the old owner so I can't activate some features and I need to take the V5 to jaguar to reset the car.

2) the lane keep asist. the car i test drove in think I just pressed the button on the wheel, the 2 rows of 3 dots indicating the edge of the road lit up green and when i creeped over to wrong side of the road the car corrected me. in my car the 3 green lights go red showing it knows I am crossing the line but the car does not react. I think it's turned on.
the autobrake cruise control, blind spot detection and 360'cameras all work and are on the car. I have the hose edition which is almost top spec. I hope it's not a fault (no warning on the dash)

3) my 1st charging experience was horrible.the 1st charge point the cable locked in but would not get past initialising charging. I tried multiple times releasing the cable and re plugging in.
the 2nd charge point I could not get the cable to lock. in desperation I popped the bonnet and fiddled with the manual emergency cable release . the lock clicked on and the car charged. it seems the charge socket has stuck refusing to lock. hopefully a rare issue.

these things aside the car is superb to drive. a lot bigger than am used to but still great.

With the lame assist, you may have to delve into the settings? On my car there are a few levels, warning only, warning + auto correction etc.

Might simply be set to visual warn only by the previous owner.

1, Registration was all done online for mine, logged on to the DVLA site and the dealer entered my details. I'd give them a call they should be able to do that as it take 2 minutes. You'd then need to wait for the V5 which took about 3 days.

2, What model year is your car as the lane assist on my MY21 is a waste of time, the full lane keep was dropped for the MY21. It does activate but and shows green lines and red lines on the HUD/Dash but doesn't intervene at a level anywhere near the BMW system did.

3, On some chargers you need to hold the cable to get it to initialise, only takes a few seconds and then it all works fine. If you are on an MY21 car their is a button to release the cable as well, on the older cars it was a double tap of the unlock key from what I remember.

Im not sure if lane assist on 21MY has the lane alert and steer toggle within Vehicle setting - sounds like might me it in the settings/from memory.

I tried this morning but on MY23 i have the steering assist feature return which is much better.

You should be alright on MY21 to release or lock, odd it didn't, before that it ws 2 unlocks for AC and 3 to release DC!

Just IMO

1) V5 done online. You do have to tax it but it's at £0. I bought through Jag dealer so I guess they did all that - although I just had to check it was taxed! :)

2) Mine is September 2020 and will pull the wheel. I let it drive round a bend then it chucked a fit because it knew I wasn't holding the wheel. All under test conditions of course.

3) Can't help there but my first charge was horrible too. Pouring with rain, couldn't work out which plug fit the Jag. Got the supplied cable and plugged it into the charger - stuck on initialising. Honestly, had to google how to remove the charge lead from the car :D as above it needs two presses to release. I didn't know. Then, as I finally removed the plug I noticed the small rubber bung you pull out in order to fit the public CCS (?) charger. Took forever to work out and was absolutely soaked. I also played charging point bingo and got to the services with 0 miles remaining. Fun times :D

thanks... seller got back to me V5 they did online and i should expect mine to arrive in 5 days. they taxed it as well. Things have changed since i bought a car last!

i need to have a look, i saw some online videos and they bought up a drive assist menu that despite looking last night i could not find... alas the videos just said "go into this menu" without saying where that menu is - it must be easy tho as they were driving.
I did learn that the car had been on ECO mode... i soon changed that :D (will be put back to eco when we go on a long journey)

as for charging... that sounds brutal @EddScott . hopefully its just a rite of passage, the car giving new owners a hazing and all will be ok from now on.
