Does anyone know of a make that will allow me to monitor the video using a browser?

I tried a Ring, but the two-stage authentication makes it completely unusable.

Thanks, I will look in to it.
I was really disappointed with the Ring. When I am in the house, I mostly use my PC to see who is at the door. This is to avoid salespeople and the like. What Ring didn't explain, when I bought it, is that you need to log in to their website to see who's at the door. That's bad enough, but also a two-step authentication is mandatory, making the entire process is too slow. I need to just hit a link and bam, it's there.

I'll be having the Reolink Doorbell soon and it runs in it's own program on my PC.

If the reolink doorbell
Is same as their cameras
Then yeah I could view mine on holiday in Australia
Was also able to use it with non reolink software
Like blue iris and ispy
And send myself email notifications of movement detected
And no subscription for how I used it
Hopefully the doorbell can do the same

More info please
In the reolink software settings
It has options for push notifications
And for email notifications
The email you can select to be sent text
Or text and pictures
Or as long as the recording isn't too large the video too
Think you can even select times of day/night if you don't want it doing it at certain times
Though i didn't try that
I set mine up to record videos in under 20MB parts to fit in email attachments
Didn't test push notifications as I tried email first and it worked fine

Thanks for that, I have seen the settings but never bothered.
I'm now having problems FTPing to my NAS now my internet provider has changed but the data on my card goes there?

Sorry never had a NAS
So don't know anything about them
My data's on the memory card
And backed up by the email method I mentioned
As long as its not a high traffic area covered by motion detection
As free Gmail has an allowance forget how many GB now
Then it works for me I just made a new folder in Gmail
All messages from the camera get sent there
Every now and then I delete the old ones

I know in reolink there's an ftp settings page
But not having a nas to experiment with
Wouldn't be able to tell you what you need to put in the settings

Looks good.
Most doorbells only view on a mobile.
I bought the Ring because it said in the blurb that it could be viewed on a browser, but what it didn't say is they have a ridiculous mandatory two-step authentication. That means that when the doorbell rings, if I am sat at the PC, I have to go to the Ring website, log in, and wait for the authentication code before I can see who's at the door. Absolutely ridiculous.
The Reolink is reasonably priced too. I might give it a go.

Could you not use the Ring app? my other half uses this all the time when home or even out and once its setup you can open it quickly like any other app.

Never used the browser to view anything as can do it all quickly through the app, can view live feed, talk to anyone at the door, view recordings etc.

Edit, I was referring to the Android app not the Windows\Mac app

Just got an email from Ring "The Ring desktop app experience will move to Ring.com in June 2023. After this date, you will no longer be able to use the version on Windows or macOS desktop applications"

The App I was referring too was installed on an android phone so was not installed on a windows\Mac computer (should have mentioned this in my original post)

I could use the app, but I very specifically wanted to use the PC as well. The problem with my mobile is that it's a bit like my keys - when I am in the house, I'm never completely sure where they are! The PC, on the other hand, it's always on and always ready.

Bare in mind neither of the Reolonk doorbells are battery, you will need a plug socket nearby.

@Mcnumpty2323

I've setup Email notifications but seem to be having a problem.
If I set both Person & Vehicle I get both Person & Vehicle notifications however if I set only Person I get nothing.
Any idea?
