Right. One side wants black, the other wants white, and grey is totally unacceptable to both sides and won't even discuss it. Your solution is?

Yeah I agree, that's just what I think they should do. I think the reality is that Ukraine will not regain the territory it's lost, which includes the Eastern parts of their country and Crimea, and all the people currently dying are doing so for nothing meaningful. This is what the US think and have known for a while.Except, the only acceptable solution for Ukraine is one that Russia will never agree to.
For a ceasefire then Ukraine needs to give Putin territory, he will want to keep what he has, is that acceptable you think?I think the best solution would be for a cease fire to occur and for all sides to speak to each other to find a solution that is acceptable for all parties. The reality of that will be compromises from both sides, but Russia isn't going to disappear as a country and neither is Ukraine, the EU and NATO. Clearly more work needs to be done by our leaders that stops Ukrainian and Russian soldiers and civilians being killed. Our leaders have failed their citizens on both sides.

Which side is more to blame? Both sides, "our" means both.
They will get it all back, if NATO stay the course, which I believe they will as they really have no choice now, then Russia will be defeated, eventuallyYeah I agree, that's just what I think they should do. Now if this was the UK what cities would let them keep? This time I'm not going to use the "Wales" joke or any other city but its a serious question who would you throw under the bus, or tank as the case is now?
Yes I know Wales isnt a city just think of it as Crimea.
Why is acceptable in quotes? :SI don't consider Russia's invasion of Ukraine "acceptable", but that is where we are now.
Which side is more to blame?

Many predicted Nato expansion would lead to war. Those warnings were ignored | Ted Galen Carpenter
It has long been clear that Nato expansion would lead to tragedy. We are now paying the price for the US’s arrogancewww.theguardian.com
Vladimir Putin bears primary responsibility for this latest development, but Nato’s arrogant, tone‐deaf policy toward Russia over the past quarter‐century deserves a large share as well
I share this opinion.
So we should ignore the requests of countries who wish to be members of an entirely voluntary organisation just to keep an angry little man happy?
No thanks.
I think this article basically sums up my position, will you read it? Probably not.
I share this opinion.
You are completely ignoring the actions of people like Putin and Lavrov, etc. sure the West doesn't have the best track record when it comes to these things but Russia has repeatedly trampled all over any kind of good faith.
So why doesn't Russia have security concerns with Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland having borders with Russia and being part of NATO? Why is it just Ukraine that is the trigger point?I think Russia has legitimate security concerns with regards to Ukraine joining NATO, it's similar to how the US was willing to go to war to stop the USSR putting missiles in Cuba, right off the coast of Florida.
NATO expansion is primarily driven not by NATO but Russia. Ukraine didn't join NATO and Russia invaded them. Sweden and Finland then immediately applied to NATO.
The problem isn't NATO.
