If he repeats his form, then great. But I doubt he will. Rashford going to Rashford eventually.
Always felt he was just a better Danny Wellbeck - brilliant at times, gash at others with the gash being much more prevalent. Though I’m probably being overly critical. I just think the lad, when he’s on form, starts thinking he’s better than he actually is (dead end step overs and the like). Then as soon as he has a few dodgy games on the trot his confidence just falls apart. I hope I’m proven wrong but this season is more likely a ‘blip’ than the norm for him.

The problem with Rashford is that he is a bit of a one trick pony. He doesn't have someone like Sakas general ability on the ball so when things aren't coming off for him hes just a bit ****. Still have a lot of questions about his mentality as well.

Indeed, I think that sort of wage should be reflected by consistently excellent performances, particularly when it will possibly set a precedent for other players or unsettle things… We really want to have a steady ship from hereon in.

He has us over a barrel though. Thats why you don't want to be a club like United with a player like Rashford. To replace him would cost a small fortune but if we did lose him we would lose a lot of goals if we didn't replace him well.

Hes in the same position DDG was in when we gave him a silly contract. Hes way more important than he should be.

Look at City and how they deal with players who want to leave. They just let them. Who cares. They have probably 2 players lining up to take their spot with little drop in quality. There are probably 3-4 players at City that are truly untouchable. The rest are very good but would be instantly replaced.

while a bit unfair a drunken Liverpool fan (good friend of mine) once described rashford thusly;
If the opposition players he’s up against are having a bit of an off day or make a mistake, when he’s on fire his pace and finishing will make them look terrible and he’ll look god like. If they’re at the top of their game and he’s on fire, he’ll keep bumping into them and maybe sneak a goal and he’ll look ok. But if he isn’t on fire he looks pants in both scenarios

It wasn’t quite so eloquently worded but that was the gist of it :P

Had to be done really. The alternative of letting him leave on a free and buying someone of equivalent ability and who would probably be on similar wages anyway would have cost a fortune.

Based on some rough estimates, I'm not convinced £375k per week would make him Utd's top earner. Utd's average first team player wage is approx £200k per week and we know from the summer Utd signed Ronaldo, Varane & Sancho that those 3 signings added somewhere in the region of £1.5m per week to Utd's wagebill - even if Ronaldo accounted for half of that, that would mean Varane & Sancho's combined wages were £750k.

Reported wage figures are typically massively under reported so I wouldn't be surprised if he'll be earning a fair bit more than that.

Ah yes, state backed PSG are going to make Rashford their 3rd biggest earner behind Mbappe and Neymar and 100k more then the likes of Hakimi and Veratti. Not only that...why on earth would he go to PSG?

Lets be realistic, he isnt worth the money United are paying him. Ridiculous money but then its United and they do this, a lot.
