Singapore to execute a woman for first time in almost 20 years

Saridewi Djamani, who was charged with trafficking a total of 1kg of drugs containing 30.72g of pure heroin, also claimed she was suffering from persistent depressive disorder and severe substance use disorder.

Hmm... So there was other stuff too besides the heroin

Perhaps you'd feel differently if you were a man due to be executed while getting zero media attention - it would almost feel like your life was worth less, and let's be clear, media attention can result in you being executed or not.
While I agree with the bolded part, this is singapore. I don't think they care about the international attention, especially in this case where the women is a Singaporean Citizen.

Edit: They hung an Australian Citizen for drug charges. She ain't getting off.

I may not agree with the punishment but the person was aware of the consequences of their actions and still they willingly took the risk, and as far as I am aware they were not coerced. They knew the Singaporeans take a hard line stance and did it anyways. It's difficult to feel much sympathy but I do think the punishment is not balanced in any way shape or form.

I very much support the death penalty but only in cases that are 100% and only for the most severe cases. Drug smuggling wouldn't meet that criteria unless it was on a massive scale. Then again I support far harsher punishments in general for crimes. Not necessarily jail time but we are way way too soft on scumbags in this country.

I sure as **** don't see the value of being upset about a headline. Tell me, if the headline was the opposite i.e "Singapore to execute first man in 20 years" but had a short paragraph explaining that a woman was also going to be executed blah blah blah, would you be as up in arms about it?
That scenario would never ever happen. And if we imagine that it did the uproar would be insane.

Men are increasingly getting tired of being considered disposable and no amount of nonsensical screeching from the likes of yourself will change the momentum.

Yeah, it's quite a lot to have hanging about the house!

That was probably unintentional but still made me chuckle

Death penalty for drugs is crazy. They aren’t killing anyone. Singapore is a bit of strange place tbh, they have very strict laws for a lot of things.

Lol, OK. Keep fighting your good fight. Men sure have had a rough ride throughout history, it's about time we had our chance at the helm

'Disposable' Think if I jerked my knee that hard it would be in an oil drum BBQ.
