I'm used to using ************ to whittle down my choice of motherboards based on wanted features but supposedly no AM4 or AM5 board supports ecc memory (which I know some do officially support it) so what I am looking for is either
  1. A site that has up-to-date accurate information for me to filter against
  2. Recommendations for an AM5 atx board with support for ecc & thunderbolt
Or both!

You can use this spreadsheet:

But, I don't think ECC is one of the options and I'm not sure how much you can trust the specs, because iirc with AM4 there were two problems:
1. Boards that state support, but just run it in non-ECC mode.
2. Boards that state support, but don't seem to fully support ECC (e.g. no logging/reporting occurred to the OS).

With AM4, NAS forums were one of the places to go, to find confirmation.

Asus and ASRock did release actual workstation boards where the ECC was confirmed working, I believe the former was: X570 Pro WS and the latter was a rack board.

As I'm pretty sure, the ASRock Rack boards are really ECC and I love all the features but they leave something to be desired on the other niceties on PCIE slots/thunderbolt support/m.2 slots. You are right though also I see lots of boards state "ECC" Support when they are just saying they support the ECC from the ddr5 normal standard

For the other features, you might want to look into the ProArt Creator boards, but I don't know what the status of their ECC is.
