Just what is NVIDIA up to?

Everyone wants AMD to do all the heavy lifting in our current predicament, but no one can come up with a strategy of how they are supposed to do that, because no one taking responsibility for themselves when they still wouldn't consider AMD even with an 83% premium on Nvidia is absurd, no one can compete in a market where the consumers think in a duopoly the guy with 90% market share's product's are worth 80% more for equivalent performance, that's absurd.

I can't wait for the RTX 5080 to be £1,500 with DLSS 4, 5060Ti 16GB for £800.

I wont be buying it, i have been pretty much nvidia exclusive for the best part of a decade, i didn't buy any of the 30 series junk, i'm not buying any of the 40 series junk, i will be buying either RDNA 2 or RDNA 3, if nowt else i look forward to ditching Nvidia's junk drivers.
I hope Nvidia jack up prices again to wean people off their marketing strategy of making utter garbage as consumer cards.

The 4080 should really be no more than £800 though, personally I wouldn't buy one for a penny more than that and the same with a 7900XTX at £750.

AMD selling a 7900XTX for £900 is a better deal than a 4080 at £1100 but that does't make it a good deal, Nvidia and AMD can set whatever prices they want but it doesn't mean I'm going to buy them.
For you a good deal isn’t even the 7900XT being given away for free lol

£600, £550, £500, £450, £400, £350, £300...... #### it AMD should make it free to gain market share.

Why is the Nvidia GPU i want still £1000???????

You think 4080 sales are good ? If anything I feel 7900xt should be selling more ?

What card of Nvidia is £1000 ? All I see is 7900xtx and 4080 both over priced

Why another offer? Isn't it not selling well ? What's next £650 ?

Yep I think 650 is around the bottom. Insofar as its not near the end of the lifecycle when as we have seen AMD cut prices further. Hopefully next gen these chiplets will actually fruition making the stack 'cheaper' to make and pass on to the consumer. Not sure nvidia will do the same, they are happy with AI and the RT seed has been sowed too deep into the mindshare to disrupt that movement.

My bad, £1100 not £1000.

For the price difference i too feel it should be selling more.

I thought the 7900XT sales were a lot better than 4080?

I've heard that too but no one as yet has produced any evidence of that, wishful thinking maybe...

I'd love it to be true, i would laugh so hysterically.

Hmmm. I wonder how we can validate. But anecdotal evidence seems to show more XT buyers. Perhaps that's just the enthusiast buyers "in the know".

Steam hardware survey 0.46% rtx4080. There are 200 million PCs on steam, so approximately 1 million RTX4080 sold

RX7900 XTX is the only RX7000 GPU and is now appearing in the survey at 0.17%. So approximately 340k RX7900XTX sold.
