Which 4090 - leaning towards the Ventus

Have seen a few deals about, and considering upgrading from my 3080 Ti FE.

I can get 20% off a 4090 and I'm considering:
- MSI ventus 4090 for £1,319 - 322mm
- Asus TUF 4090 for £1,407 - 348mm
- Asus Strix for £1,575 - 358mm
- Gigabyte 4090 for 1,343 - 340mm
These are the only 4090s on the site.

Leaning towards the Ventus for various reasons.
- It is the cheapest
- It is the shortest and probably the only one I won't have to change my case for (I probably have just enough clearance - Q300L with front intake) - my 3080 Ti FE (285mm) fits really well, so hopefully I have enough room.

Any thoughts on the Ventus welcome, seems like a good option but there aren't many reviews.

I'll eventually go with a Fractal Design North but trying to save the hassle of changing cases right now.

Alternative is a 4090 FE for £1,519 elsewhere (304mm) but is it worth £200 extra?

Those prices are not from OCUK but I expect OCUK will price-match if you ask unless it's from ebay.

I have a Zotac Trinity which works well and has UK RMA, not that I've needed it.

Hmm the place does it in a slightly strange way you have to add it to your finance account then they add the 20% credit - at which point I'll pay it all off. Unsure if OCUK would price match that.

I was in a very similar position and went for the ventus, no regrets works great.
The fe pushing half the hot air out the back of my itx case would have been an advantage but not worth the £200 extra.
Interesting how are you finding the Ventus? Temps and noise reasonable? My one worry is stuffing it in this small case.

Gpu temps and noise have always been fine but it was dramatically heating up my 280 aio that's directly above it till I swapped the air flow round rather unconventionaly.
Now it's much better.

Set a 70% power limit and get 95% of the performance and it will only use 315w max often a lot less.

Putting a 4090 in a tiny case is obviously not going to be ideal but it's surprisingly manageable due to how well they work at lower power and have huge heatsinks even on the smallest ones.

Would they price match the £1,319 one though? as that's on a buy now pay later promotion.

Sounds really promising thanks.
I'll eventually get a new case but sound like I'll manage for now.

That's what I'm thinking, unlikely to price match.

Leaning towards the Ventus based on replies so far
I had a ventus from the last 20% off promo from same retailer, Mine had bad coil whine but returns was not any hassle tbh, only problem with them is they wont actually offer a replacement, only refund, meaning if the promo runs out you wont get that price again. Refund took about 3 weeks too. Pretty good experience given their trustpilot.

Noise from fans after 1500rmp were a little on the louder side in my nr200, temps never seemed to exceed 70c, if you get one with acceptable coil whine its a decent smaller card.

I also saw that same deal on Friday but decided to get the FE version. That retailer's way of doing things did not strike me with confidence
Oh I already have an account and have done this many times without issue. Just pay it off after the credit has been added.

So for me, the main question is whether the FE is worth £200 more. No brainer if they were the same price.

Pulled the trigger on the Ventus 4090, let's see how this goes.

Thanks for the comments - feel free to add anymore info / context you have.
