Best card for 1440p - worth going 4080/7900xtx?

Have the 4070 and couldnt be happier with it gaming at 1440p, runs under 200w, temps below 60c, pretty good with raytracing for what it is, cyberpunk on high settings with ultra raytracing is around 60fps, turn on frame gen as well then its around 90/100fps
and plays quite good on controller like that, battlefield 2042 is a dream to play since i got my 4070 as plays well over 120fps at 1440p high settings.

No one is doubting the 4070 as a decently performing card, it's just poor value when a 3080 is not just as good, but in some situations beats it by double figure FPS. DLSS3 and RT make up the difference but not every game supports them. It just feels like a bit of a cash grab from Nvidia.

Do admit, it should be priced cheaper and i do wish it had 16gb ram instead of 12gb, the VERY low power draw and low temps make it up a bit for me though and it is a good 1440p card, obviously people say the offerings from Amd are better for the money and that may be true,
if you dont factor in raytracing and dlss, i have nothing against Amd and can see they make some quality powerful cards, but i like ray tracing so it was the 4070 for me for gaming at 1440p plus i didnt really want to upgrade my psu yet as not had this one long and a lot of
the other cards in the price range pull a lot more wattage.

DLSS 3 does make quite a different however (20-30% over the 3080?) so depends a bit one what games buyers are going to be playing over the coming few years. And the 4070 uses something like 100watts less than the 3080 which for heavy gamers, mounts up over time in energy savings.
Not saying a 3080 is a poor choice, I agree it's a consideration, but the 10GB version I'd rule out personally and if buying used the 12GB version would need to be priced right considering the 4070 is £569 brand new (FE).

I can't get around it should be 60ti tier looking how much they cut it , and to top it off they increased the price from what the 3070 msrp was
