Stuck in the airport support thread

Any word on what happened yet, beyond just "a technical issue"? Is it just a regular "technical issue" or is it something more sinister that has Putin's grubby fingerprints all over it?

I believe it was @Feek newly erected mast that was causing interference.

Absolute shambles here, they told us is was delayed, then cancelled so I quickly booked a hotel room for the night. They took us back to passport control, queued there for a bit and then they said the cancellation is cancelled and sent us back to the gate with a new time in about 30mina. They still don't know if we're actually going to be flying though

Wouldn't like to be the staff bet it horrendous

Our flight LS819 now departing 2106. Currently coming back from Bulgaria and only just left. Ah well first and only time we've had a delay with Jet 2 and flown with them to Rhodes every year bar 2018 and 2020 when we didnt go.

Last time I was in a UK airport (Stansted), they messed up in security and left my bag sitting there not getting checked for a few minutes. After I queried it and they sorted it out, the lady who'd messed up was super grateful towards me and said "you're incredibly patient". I'm thinking I'm not incredibly patient, I just don't believe in giving staff **** because they made a small mistake. How bad must it be that she felt the need to be thankful that I didn't give her an earful?

Bloody hell, mate, bit optimistic thinking you'll still be alive then tbh.

Update; the flight was cancelled again. We gone all the way out this time and got told we need to go to the ticket office to book new flights. Massive queue as expected and one bloke just came down and said they don't have anything available in the next 24 hours

Wow an 83 year delay, that really is quite bad!

We dodged a bullet with all this. Landed back in East Midlands from Palma on Saturday after a week of mid 30's heat (Lovely) and on Sunday the Island got battered by a storm which cancelled all the flights and then this today. We actually flew through the storm that hit them we think over the Pyrenees on Saturday, it was massive and tossed the plane around for 40 mins and was just solid black clouds out of the window, I hate flying so was ******* bricks!

We're officially stranded. First direct flight back is 4th September. Only other options involve multiple changes flying all over Europe to get back to somewhere in the UK in around 20 hours
That sucks! Where are you?

I'm sure your airline and others will put on other flights once they get a chance to fully assess the situation.

Vilnius, Lithuania. Looks like there might be some options on the 31st that we've found but they're all going so quickly

Your airline should be arranging something. Getting in touch with them of course is another matter as it’ll be similar to Covid levels of demand on the call centres I’d imagine.

Also, could you rent a car and drive back? At least to Paris or similar then train it.
