Hey all
So have had a pyronix wired alarm installed for about 5 years. It’s been solid apart from annoying problems with power, either power loss to the main unit due to a power cut or battery runs out on remote bell unit outside . Had a power cut this week whilst out and it flipped the circuit breaker that the alarm and downstairs power ring was on. Had no notification because the alarm uses Wi-Fi . We were away so my only notification was my neighbour texting me saying our alarm was going off. The whole downstairs had no power. Inc our fridge and aquarium so lucky he had keys to our house. You can buy a pyronix mobile sim addon but it’s £150.App takes 30secs to login and very basic only tells you it’s alarmed or any tampers , keypad interface requires a degree in bad user experience interfaces to understand.
So looking for something new that has decent power loss battery backup and a SIM card . Was looking at the Ring or Simplsafe alarms which seem to tick the boxes. yale answell but is more expensive. anyone have experience of these or any others. Really wanting to spend less than £400
Thanks
