Russia might be able to get other types of air to air rockets to work with those launchers, the US believed to looking at what missiles it can give to Ukraine that will work with it's older soviet era systems.

Who said the supply would stop, for sure they can make them still, but they are not able to keep up with demand unless you think they are deliberately holding back, or using their air defence missile's in ground attack mode for giggles...

Also Russia does steal and pillage everything.

I don't know the entire logic behind it as to whether there was actually an initiative to harvest electronic devices to salvage chips for the war use but Russia is well known for taking lots of stuff like that from conquered areas whether they can use it or not and common household white goods do use things like Analog Devices MEMS components which are capable of being used in or in some cases the same as used in missiles. (And interesting side note there that a pin compatible IC which provides all the right data but is not the original intended chip and has slightly different physical properties, even tiny weight changes, can actually affect a missiles performance and/or accuracy by an appreciable percentage).

Unfortunately there are plenty of people helping Russia to breach sanctions who only care about the money, there are some doing it more directly but also fronts setup, some with and some without direct Russian involvement, in many parts of the world to supply Russia, Iran and NK with stuff like electronics and engines, etc. including certain parts of South America as well as various places in the Middle East.

IIRC meme's aside the main reason their troops were looting washing machines (including older ones with no microchips) is because Russia's logistics are so **** that their camps/HQ's/etc had no way to clean their uniforms aside from "dunk it in the river".

When you only have one shirt/jacket, one pair of trousers and one set of underwear that you have been wearing continuously in the mud/rain/smoke/etc a washing machine (or the hallowed washer dryer) will quickly look like a pile of gold bricks.

Going to be an interesting one, Russia's only real resort is nuclear weapons, and depend somewhat on China to avoid sanctions and their main hope for supply of things like advanced semi-conductors now China has a working, if somewhat limited, 7nm process, etc.

Major hub for their military transport aircraft - taking out some of those and/or the ability to maintain them would have a noticeable impact on Russia's war efforts.
